This was an awesome video! I grew up snow skiing in the Sierra Nevadas in California. Loved seeing the ski resorts near Banff. In the summer of 1969 my parents and I took the ski lift at Mt Norquay up to the top of the mountain to a cafe. It was so much fun. This video brought back a lot of good memories!

Did you miss the sign on the chairlift pole. As you go by it says " welcome to beautiful B.C." then a few poles later is say " welcome back to sunny Alberta" or something like that. I think it's cool passing thru like that lol. Was hoping to see it in your video but alas . Hope you enjoyed the hill. It's my favorite

It's just not really for me I guess, I've traveled around a lot and nothing compares to how I felt while I was in Canada (Toronto, Vancouver). It felt like home honestly, as cliche as it sounds. I would love to move and settle there one day :) Has something to do with the culture and mentality of people as well, it just clicked.

Beautifully done my friends ! Nice to see you ski ⛷ . We have the same goggles! Lol! 😂 I skied Sunshine before in 2016 it’s a beautiful place. We were doing a Safari Ski 7 days skiing in a row 2 days in Fernie 2 days in Panorama 2 days Kicking Horse and one day in Sunshine . It was my first time skiing in the west . My second trip was in 2018 at Revelstoke for a week in the Sutton Place ski-in ski-out it was the top of the top ! Just came back last week from Whistler we had a great time 80 cm of snow during our stay . Would like to try the big 3 another year ATB Hélène et Serge 👩‍❤️‍👨

Oh wow, you've been to many! We actually have never been to Revelstoke or Whistler. We love Panorama and Kicking Horse. Panorama maybe our favourite due to the vibe and the ski in ski out accommodation. But Lake Louise is great too. And Sunshine. I didn't know Revelstoke has ski in ski out, we will have to try. Do you have the Oakley or the Anon?

Must Do Canada Oakley , I also loved the ski-in ski-out at Panorama and since 2017 I think they have developed more ski terrain . Check it out for Revy whit the Sutton Place we were about maybe 40 meters from the gondola and we had a view of the gondola from our condo , which we had two room and two bathrooms whit a full kitchen & dinette and a lovely living room whit a fire place . You can take look at my channel under skiing the west if you would like to see what it looks like ...watch out some are very long so you can skip things ...Lol ! ATB Serge 😉⛷🏔

Thanks for the video. I will immigrate to Canada from Germany in April this year. I made a video about my reasons on my own channel :-) I will start in Toronto and I will do voluntary animal care in a wildlife sanctuary in Huntsville, ON. After that, I will travel towards the West with VIA rail. My final destination will be Calgary for settling down. Of course, I will also visit Banff in wintertime. I can't wait for the Canadian winter. I just love snow xD

oh wow, that sounds like an incredible plan. What made you want to move here? Why Calgary? I haven't heard about that wildlife sanctuary but it sounds amazing. Please let us know how it goes. We volunteered at an animal refuge in Bolivia and it's one of the highlights of our whole travel life

@@MustDoCanada Ther are multiple reasons for Canada. Some of them are the diversity in people, nature and mentality as well as the friendliness of people. I think Calgary is the best choice for me because it combines both my passions: big city life and nature. I think downtown Calgary is pretty urban but you also have the mountains close by with incredible scenery and nature. In Ontario, I will volunteer at Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary. I'm very excited to help local wildlife and to give something back before I even get started in Canada :-)

I think 4 days minimum incase you want 1 day off to rest the legs :) SkiBig3 has a little program too where you ski all 3 and then you get a free beer or somthing like that. I mean, it's just a beer, but could be a little fun way to celebrate

@@ThankYou-xe8je My favourite is Lake Louise, followed by Sunshine. I would definately do both of those. Norquay is nice but significantly smaller than those two. Lake Louise is huge and Sunshine is kinda cool because you have to take a gondola just to get to the lodge, so its higher in the mountains and is able to stay open longer.

I am going 2nd and 3rd week of Nov, American Thanksgiving break so excited! We are beginners so we don't care if not all lifts are open. Lift tickets are half off early season and hotels are cheap. I sign up my kid for ski school for the week.

@@rckrm6747 Generally speaking, the best skiing is January to March. Hotels are much cheaper in the winter than in the summer so that's good. Canmore is 15-20 min from Banff, and you'll need to drive to all the resorts from Banff ot Canmore. Banff is probably preferred though and almost the same price. It's actually cheaper to buy individually unless there's a promotion from SkiBig3. Norquay is the smallest but the closest. Sunshine is 30 min away and Lake Louise is 45 min.

@@rckrm6747 big parking lot, don't think you will have problem getting to the ski zone. If you stay on Lake Louise resort, not just hotels are tiny and expensive food are overly priced and very few choices. Restaurants can get very busy.

I think it depends. Lake Louise is often ranked in the top 3 worldwide. One of the ski instructors was from Europe and he was saying that he likes Canada better because it's more wild. He said in the Alps, as soon as you even go into the trees, you're out of bounds, whereas here, everything is open for fun. But yes, we'll have to make it over there one day for a video :)

But yes, the Canada is rank 1 in the world of skiing, that's what the tourism level says!!😂 And if you want wild skiing you go in Nepal or Andes, but that's not what is making a GOOD ski resort, what you are saying is irrelevant, because one "guys" from Europe said it was better in Canada... Hearthbreaking to ear such thing! And you are right, in the french Alps we have freeway in the mountains, that's not wild anymore, everybody know that!🤣🤣

@@dimebagtribute Look man, there's no need to be a hoser and talk down to someone. You really need to learn some empathy in order to convince people of your opinion. Everyone has their own opinion on what's the best in the world, and in my opinion having to stay on groomed trails or risk falling into a crevasse is awful! Also if you knew what real back backcountry lines looked like you would have talked about Alaska, not Nepal. On the other hand Chile or Argentina have some pretty sick terrain, you have a point there.
