The Gardenissima is known from ski races. At 6 kilometers in length and 1,000 meters in altitude, the Gardenissima race is the longest giant slalom in the world. But the Gardenissima has a lot to offer, especially outside of the competition. So you can enjoy one of the most beautiful views of all while skiing. To get to the starting point, take either the Seceda cable car from Ortisei or the Col Raiser cable car in Santa Cristina. There is also the finish line of the Gardenissima race. The chairlift then takes you to the 2,518 meter high Seceda summit. Even from the gondola there is a breathtaking view of the Dolomites.
The notorious Sassolungo (3,181 m) and the massive Sella Group (up to 3,151 m) are in view the whole time you are skiing. From the mountain station, the view even extends to the Alpe di Siusi. There are also a good dozen different mountain huts with panoramic terraces and sun loungers along and around the route, so that the fantastic mountain scenery can be enjoyed in peace and quiet. But thanks to the gentle mountain ridges, this is also possible on the go. You can take the most beautiful photos at Col Raiser (2,103 m)
