I have a diploma in medical lab science and working as a medical lab technologist offshore. Currently doing my degree on medical lab science. I hope to do my skill assessment as a medical lab technician with my diploma qualification. If i get a positive result and then when i claim my points for migration, can i claim points for my degree after i complete it, without aseessed by the AIMS.

hello @ChannelAMEC 1-Does having an overseas comparable degree in Medical Laboratory Science qualifies for a possitive skills assessment? 2- To qualify also for a positive skills assessment, if the applicant was working as a Lab technologist full-time in a reputable overseas hospital, and has done almost every job responsibilities mentionned in ANZSCO, does he qualify as MLS even if he isn't the manager or supervisor of the Lab? 3- What is the percentage of reformulating and mentionning every responsibility done during work experience in order to ask from the HR department or Director an employment letter for skilled migration? Basically they means if you want an easier way, just take a Bachelor of MLS taught by AIMS-accredited university in Australia which costs dearly and can make you broke.

Hi! I am a dual citizen (Australian and Filipino). I have lived in the Philippines for most of my life, lived in Australia for only about a month or so. I have a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science here in the Philippines and I was wondering how I can join AIMS in my situation. depends on the situation, but taking the test and pass it, obviously is brilliant

In what way? I passed the ASCP exam in the US and had a lengthy career there. The only advantage for taking the exam would be the preparation/study time to practice for an exam with similar content (the two exams are administered and structured completely different). Unfortunately, AIMS does not take into account whether you passed the ASCP exam or not. If you don’t pass the exam in Australia, you will not find work.

Hi, thanks for you video which is really helpful. However, I have a few questions regarding my plan on this pathway. First question: My current bachelor's degree is not accredited by AIMS. However, I'm planning to undertake a master's degree in Tasmania (master of laboratory medicine) which is accredited by AIMS but the program is only 2 years of study. In this video you showed that "the primary qualification for medical laboratory scientist is 3 or 4 years of study". Does that mean I won't be able to apply for skill assessment after completing the master's degree? Second question: The document reveals that applicants who hold the AIMS accredited degree do not have to possess a 2 years postgraduate professional employment as a medical laboratory scientist & examination. Does this mean after I've completed my master's degree in Tasmania, would I be able to directly apply for skill assessment? Thank you

@Joel miracle if you study master in Tasmania..you don't need to assess your degree or no need take exan. it will be already assessed because you are going to study in AIMS accredited university.. you will easily get job as a Medical lab technician if study well and pass with good grades. gradually with your experience you will become Medical lab scientist

@@vigneshbvsv Hey Vignesh, if you apply for the AIMS Skill Assessment by the time you are holding a non-accredited degree, i believe you'll have to undertake the professional examination in addition to a 2 years post-graduate work experience. However, if you possess an AIMS accredited degree, then you'll directly get a positive skill assessment provided that your IELTS or TOEFL or PTE score is "proficient" (IELTS ~ 7 all bands). But for completeness, AIMS will still want to have a look at your Bachelor's degree, but they will still give you a positive skill assessment if you have completed an AIMS accredited degree.
