SKILLED NOMINATED - Subclass 190 visa (State Sponsored Visa)

This video discusses The Skilled Nominated (State Sponsored) - Subclass 190 visa allows skilled workers who are nominated by an Australian state or territory government to live and work in Australia as a permanent resident.
Recently it has become an increasingly popular option for those looking to get PR if you don’t have enough points for the skilled independent option. Being Nominated by a state gives you 5 extra points. So many participants may be able to get a PR visa if they have only 60 points, plus 5 points for the State Nomination.
The only difference between the State Nominated and the Skilled Independent is that you must commit to living and working the state that nominates you for at least the first two years after being granted PR

Only apply IF you have a score of 70 or higher. Since 1st July 2018 new rules came in with minimum 65 points required to apply. Yes, you can submit an EOI with 65 points but have virtually no chance of getting invited to apply. Make sure you score 70 points or higher before you waste your money.

Hi, the state nominated visa allows the states to decide which occupation they want. So for the 190 visa, plenty of applications go through with only 65 points. You need 70 points for skilled independent - subclass 189

Currently, all states have one of these two different conditions. 1- To have lived in that state for a certain period of time 2- To have an education degree in that particular state. An immigrant candidate who has not come to Australia as such is not eligible for 190/489/491 visas. Has this been happening in the past? Or did the states set such rules because of the pandemic?

Aloha Nick! I just received s56 RFI and there was only one requested doc which is Police Clearance for my state of resident, Hawaii. I was able to immediately order a certified criminal record via our state police/justice system and uploaded to Immi Account Portal. My application status is now changed from Initial Assessment to Further Assessment. While I am being hopeful and glad that there was only one requirement s56, I am just wondering whether the condition listed in s56 can be considered as the only requirement left before the approval or it is only just just the beginning before a full review/assessment and that additional s56 can still be issued?

Hello! Is the score ranking evaluated in each profession's own category? or are all professions rated the same as points? for example; Do social workers compete with computer engineers as points?

If I score 75 points for Australian migration what is the probability for getting a PR in 189 visa. Hi Daniel, it really depends on 1/ what occupation and 2/ what state you are applying in. 3/ what other people submitted the EOI in your state and your occupation.
