I grew up on 80's hair metal and I know John Cooper, from Skillet, is a fan as well. So, I challenged him to a Metal Riff-Off.

I played in a band with John Cooper in the actual 80s, so I know for a fact that he knows his 80s bands. His favorite was Skid Row (like he said in this video), but he was also into more prog stuff like Kansas, Yes, and Kings X.

I love that John was into Kansas and Yes!!! I saw both bands live in concert several years ago in an amphitheater in West Palm Beach, FL! Although Kansas was the warmup band, they still rocked just as good as Yes! I'll never forget it! WOOO HOOOO!!! 👍👍👍

I have no idea how that would've been possible, as John Cooper would've been under 6 years old during most of the 80s, as he was born in 1975!

@@BigAlvideos101 John joined my band in 1989 (aka the 80s) and he was 14. The math works. We were a band from 89’ until late 94/ early 95. Skillet was formed just after that.
