You have helped me, but I had been battling with the hexies for a while. It would be nice to do another video and do close up work.

I did find this useful to show how to cast-on and continue with the magic loop method which I far prefer -- I do have to agree with some of the other comments here - using yarn and needles that don't contrast against a muddy dark background makes it very difficult to see what you're actually doing.

This video has helped me alot! I am not an experienced knitter and was able to get going on the circular needles. I am inspired to try the continental knitting - it looks so much faster!

Thank-You so much! I purchased the Beekeepers Quilt pattern and Koigu Mini Skeinette Grab Bags from Jimmy Beans Wool and I'm very excited to get started!

Can you redo the double point. With the small mix up it was hard to see how you did the first rows 🥺

I just bought this pattern from Etsy a few days ago. I was wondering what kind of yarn everyone was using. Thanks.

I agree! I tried twice, got frustrated, and did a regular 3-needle bo.

I'm wondering why teachers use such dark yarn - so nothing can be seen! What is wrong with Yellow?

I wish the sound would be better. I cranked my sound system way up to max (and I never need to use max, because it's pretty decent) and I could still barely hear anything.

What method do you prefer for the Hexipuffs?? Magic Loop? DPNs?

I am a beginner and am very confussed with this video. I want to make these hexapuff real bad and the video does not help. I bought the pattern a couple of years back and need a closeup tutorial made with beginners in mind. Please redo this video!

Hi Eneida, we're definitely alerting our video team to the confusion in the video. Hopefully we can get this fixed soon! Thank you for your feedback! ~Olivia

That was the most confusing and awkward tutorial. I'm More confused than ever lol I'm a beginner knitter. Never used double pointed needles before!

OMG that would be great!!! I have the needles and the wool. Just no idea how to start.

I’m confused and I’m not a beginner. Lol

Would be better to use lighter wool so it is easier to see this against the needles in the first example. Many thanks however for doing this tutprisl

Thank you for your comment! We've recently started using lighter yarns in our new tutorials and the stitches show up so much better😃

This is a terribly confusing tutorial. You really need to hold your needles closer to the camera. You may also want to consider working with a white background so the details of the needles and yarn stand out. I was really hoping to get some guidance on the hexapuffs with this video but as other commenters stated, I'm more confused now than ever.

Plus, you are working up at the top of the video which makes for uncomfortable watching. 3 months ago -- and now it's the end of September 2016 and the video lesson is still with dark yarn and up at the top right of the entire screen.
@Marny55808 жыл бұрын
Ok ... after writing my comments while the video was running, I now see that you are using lighter yarn - and more centered. For anyone not knowing, if you click move your mouse to touch the top edge of the bottom of the video you will see a few icons ... for FULL SCREEN click on the icon at the far right. To get out of that mode, just touch your ESC key.

You have beautiful hands/fingernails, but it makes it hard to follow you with your rather long fingernails because there all over the stitches. Toward the end of the video it gets easier to see what you are doing.

Agreed, this video is very poorly done. Don't you look at it after you have completed it? You would clearly see that you can't see anything! The background is a very poor choice for the yarn and needles you are using. And why can't you keep your hands in the camera's view? Is that so hard to do? The cameraperson should warn you, and you need to start over. You need to use thicker yarn and larger needles so we can see, or use more closeups. You should have a lot more light so it would be recorded clearer. This needs to be re-done! It might be helpful, but really needs to have been rehearsed first. As it is, this is very confusing -- even when you know what to do!

+Pat Portran -thanks so much for the feedback, Pat! I'm passing this along to our video team to put on their list to re-shoot. We don't have a regular filming schedule at the moment so it may not be updated for a while yet, but it is on our radar. Thanks again! -Leanne
