In Canada, you need to pay income taxes. Tax bracket based on your income level. During annual income tax filing, you can claim back 15% of tuition tax credit. Say 8 months part-time and 4 months full time; you need to earn about $28 per hour for $39k gross income. If you can't increase your hourly wages, then you need to increase your hours. There are two ways: 1) Work full-time on-campus while studying; and work 20 hrs a week part-time off-campus while studying. There is no hour limit for on-campus work. 2) Work remotely for an employer outside of Canada; and work 20 hrs a week part-time off-campus while studying.

You can work full-time on-campus; these on-campus hours don't count towards the 20 hours a week (while studying) off-campus hours. Learn more in Canada's official website.
