This film of a process of drilling wells to irrigate crops is a little different from what is done in the western USA---making a "search online with a computer" would be a much faster way to show what is done here---key in "cable tool" for an older method similar to yours for easy drilling easy to 1000' feet and "rotary drilling for harder rock and deeper drilling. I've "hand dug" easy digging with my father on a hand made rig 65 years ago and personally dug with a cable tool 40 years ago!!! There is a lot of info on line---my seeing the film is on a curiosity level only--on a perceptive level, there is lots of ways to do any job if you let your imagination show the way!!! With a computer, we all have access to a whole world of ideas and information, it works!!!

I am from India, Bihar working as Software Engineer, my Father was farmer. I had followed the same steps for going 110 Ft 5 inch borewell. But it become bit easier when we have Electricity. First process was same instead of tractor pully and belt we are using Submersible pump with electricity. Anyway Great work , you people are doing the real work producing grain, which is most important need for every Mankind. When I saw this video it really connect me to the root. How difficult it is to get grain from mother earth.

Just a thought, but @4:14, you could attach a pulley with rope to the blue frame of the machine, so the person that climbs up can hook a harness.

Interesting process but I kinda think his sediment pit needs to be separated from the water-pit he uses to drill. That pit may be large but it is the distance that pulls out more sediment from the water & not volume. If he is going to use the dirty-drill-water to drill then the pit should be more long than it is large.

Turban----the motor is above ground and the pump is at the bottom , large capacity of water to be pumped ///an injecter pump, old style domestic setup, is pumping water down and it brings more water up---two pipes///a submersible, one pipe, generally domestic, the pump and motor is below water----all kinds of ways and ideas, lots of different checkbooks, needs, wants, and desires!!!
