I went to the eye doctor, because I was feeling bags of sand on my eyes all the time. He said my eyes are dry, apparently really dry. But they are fine. So he gave me some drops. But after one day my eyes still felt dry. I am subscribed to No BS and she had a video about Dermalogica eye cream and she said her eyes were feeling dry with that eye cream. Voilà, I think I figure out either Neutrogena RetinA eye cream or Elf hydrating eye cream were causing the problem. So last night I eliminated Neutrogena. Today my eyes are feeling much better. Between you and No BS I have the info I need to stay healthy.

Hello Dr, I do have some questions regarding Retin A . 1)Is it true that it can cause permanent dry eyes and vision-related issues? Especially if you are having dry eye problems for long? 2) can long term use of Retain A can cause liver toxicity or bone density problems? 3) Is it safe to use during TTC and stop immediately after getting BFP? Please help me, if possible. Thanks in advance.

Dear Dr. Dray ☺️🌻 Question: For someone who doesn’t ever wear make-up, would a Korean cushion compact have any benefits for the skin (ex. Sun protection, hydration, skin barrier restoration) ? I do wear moisturizer and sunscreen, but I’m drawn to cuteness and the luxury of a Korean cushion compact. (Currently torn between soo boo ji, beauty people, and a’pieu’s wonder tension) They claim to have all these wonderful benefits, and they look promising. And cute. BUT. In the end is it just better make-up? Did I just fall for marketing? Thank you for all you do. ☺️☺️☺️

Hi Dr. Dray! First I just have to say, I’m SO glad I stumbled upon your channel, I’ve been binge watching for the past few days and have learned SO much. I also love that you’re a huge advocate for CeraVe, as is my own dermatologist, love that! I do have a question pertaining to the use of body lotions that have fragrance in it, specifically Hempz Original, I’m aware that you’re very against anything with fragrance but it’s hard to let go of the ‘smell goods’. Would you say, if I were to keep using Hempz Original as a body lotion, a) to be used in AM after a full shower routine and then CeraVe SA cream in PM after running in the shower quickly (5min tops) to rinse off hair product, wash face and acne prone areas OR B) would it be okay to use Hempz Original on top of CeraVe SA cream? I understand in your professional and personal opinion it’s not optimal to be using products with fragrance, but there are a few products I enjoy using that have fragrance that is too hard to let go of. I sincerely appreciate your informative, well-spoken & thoroughly explained videos, thank you so much!

Thank you for your informative video!! I have one question though and anyone else is also welcome to answer me: have you done any videos about madecassoside (or centella asiatica because I think they're linked right?), niacinamide or allantoin? These three ingredients are extremely popular in Korean skincare these days and as a skincare enthusiast who loves to try Korean skincare products, I would like to have a bit more information about them. I believe at least some of them could be called active ingredients as well, but a lot of the studies I've seen about them cannot be found in English, at least when it comes to the madecassoside/centella asiatica/cica stuff.

Hey Dr. Dray!! Absolutely fascinating video and topic! Thank you so much. My question is about prescription tretinoin, and the different strengths. Are there scientific studies showing greater efficacy of one over the other for "anti-aging " or help with fine lines and wrinkles? I continue to have some confusion about this, despite having seen all your videos. Could you please clarify this for me/your viewers? Thank you so very very much!!!

Hopefully people will stop asking you to review every retinol, vitamin C, peptide, growth factor products after watching this video since there’s no way for you to know what those non-drug cosmetics contain and whether they’re efficacious or not. Really informative video!! 👏 👏 👏 Great quotes today from Dr Dray: 🙇‍♀️ “Be careful when you’re buying stuff that you don’t fall for the expensive marketing.” “Really the goal of my videos is not to tell you what to buy but to help you navigate claims, especially because stuff can get so expensive, and personally I don’t think any of that stuff is worth it, but I do get that you’re all interested in trying these things.” “The goal of those videos [regarding specific ingredients] is to always give you information about what we actually do know about the ingredients so you don’t get misled about what something can do for you.”

the US is so strict when it comes to purchasing medication...I'm from Brazil and here you can just go to the drugstore and get azelaic acid or Retin A as easy as buying water from the supermarket 😅😅😅😅 of course, you should always see a doctor before trying these things out but still...

Ok...here goes nothing. A question for Dr. Dray or fellow Dray-colytes! Because of this channel and Doc Dray's no nonsense skin care advice, I have started a skin care regime for the 1st time in my 56 years of life! After a month of using several products, most notably a Walgreens brand retinol lotion and the Aztec healing mask, something very strange has happened. My skin has taken on an almost rubbery, silicone texture and has a sort of thick film on it! I have stopped using those products now for four days. Is rubbery slick skin an actual thing, or I am turning into a seal?!? I had such hopes!

Oh my... $300 for a prescription cream, ALL medications £9 are the UK for any prescription, no matter what or the what the cost of the medicine. We don’t pay to see our family doctors either. Medicine is free of charge for those over 60 or anyone having a long term health condition. Acne medications to complex drugs costing £1,000’s will be £9 or in the case of cancer free. That’s super crazy. If the product is available for less at the pharmacy, you only pay the cheaper rate too. You could go via private insurance if you wish for a knee op or hip replacement quickly and to fit your schedule but I’ve always had remarkable treatment on the National Health Service for anything minor to serious.

Paul Wootton but you cannot get tretinoin On prescription from gp in the U.K it’s impossible! It’s £100+ from Obagi brand but you have to go for a consultation in Harley street for it, missions and expensive, hence why I order mine from a online Spain site. Yes your right we are very lucky in the U.K. with our meds etc

Luxy 11 Not so, you can go to www.nhs.uk and check which drugs are available. Topical retinoids are widely prescribed for acne and are certainly available on prescription via the NHS. It may not always be the best medication for a patients condition so one should always follow the doctors advice. Retin-A is a relatively cheap medication so there should be no question if it was the best option for treatment. Other legitimate routes privately are UK based Dermatica for £22 a month (including online photo consultation with Doctor) and will prescribe for acne as well as anti-aging. As you say use a pharmacy based in EU in a country where it’s OTC and it starts from around £10. Many European pharmacists are licensed to dispense face to face and you can buy online but there would of course be a risk involved with doing so as you would be self medicating from a potentially untrustworthy source.

labolodia: Mineral sunscreen that is SPF 30-50. It’s very individual on which ones are “best” so your niece may have to try a number of sunscreens until she finds one(s) that she likes the look and feel of and will apply & re-apply every single day. Good luck. 🍀 👍

Love your channel ❤️. I have been struggling with a very red and itchy rash on my face, lips and neck for the past 7 months. After several visits to many different doctors my allergists suggested I stop using all cosmetics and patch tested me for the cosmetics and I reacted to three of the products. Good news and for the most part the rash is gone, however not completely. Tried to compare ingredients and could not find any like ingredients in these products. Any suggestions as to how I could determine which ingredients are causing the reaction? I have been binge watching your videos hoping to find some answers. 😄. Thank you!

I have just used up my first (and probably last) bottle of EUK from TO. My honest opinion is that TO just does not formulate any of their singular products and this results in that these products just do not work! Formulation is key I think. Stay with your vitamin-c, but not from TO... Timeless is a great choice, I saw major results after half a bottle
