Best tutorial ever existed. Thank you so much Mr. Clint. Where can we learn more in-depth about Data Operators and particles test? I have been using 3Ds Max since 2002 during my university but when version 2014 came out, I had great deficiency in particles as they were updated into many many more new options. Is there any pdf or online source I can get to read more about particles?

Hi Clint, great tutorial, easy to follow and understand, but I'm trying for a smoother effect, so adding a turbo-smooth to the emitter object resulting in 9602 vertices. I change the Birth particles to the same, but now when I run my sim the particles don't break and split away. I've tried a gaziilion tweaks to the glue break force, distances etc etc, but nothing seems to work. Is there anything I need to bear in mind when cranking up the resolution ? thx

Pretty helpfull! Thanks)) Is it possible to bake this into a keyframes like a simple animation sequence? To use it in game engines as a mesh with vertex deformations etc.?

First of all, thanks for the great tutorial! i stumbled upon a problem, i followed your instructions very thoroughly, and after setting the data test_colordata (min 31:23) [exactly like you did in data flow] the cubes don't turn red nu matter what. do you have any ideea why?

Clint do you know why Pflow Collision Shape doesnt want to recognise the original geomertry? I tried sphere shape, then it worked fine. I have been following everything to a tee...

Is it worth following this tutorial? Do you need any third party plugins?
@nalunui9 жыл бұрын
official ronin Only if you are using a version of 3DS Max earlier than 2014. These tools didn't come with 3DS until then. Before that they were the Orbaz Technologies plugin Particle Flow Toolbox 1 - 3.
