Licensed esthetician and subbie here for those who are watching Tretinoin is for acne…if you do not acne don’t go to a dermatologist or dr requesting this…you will get hypopigmentation which is not fixable. It is also a retina so you have to be careful with it it’s also used on those with leukemia. It’s not for long term use. If you’re using it for over 12 weeks it’s a internal issue and not a external issue. It can cause a lot of adverse effects. A lot of people get crazed over these types of videos (not Amaya she obviously sees a derm) without seeking professional help and advice but I get alot of clients following other people routines and they mess up their acid barrier on their skin. Edit: Also I recommend black girl sunscreen the matte one since you are a combination type or Paula choice sunscreen. Cerve and cetaphil sunscreen isn’t enough for someone who uses tretinoin.

Hi love, do you still recommend the azelic acid? I have a dermatologist appointment Wednesday and I’m going to request something for dark marks. I’m used to having clear skin but I was put on a medication that caused my skin to break out, when I broke out I broke out with dark marks. I’m praying to get my beautiful clear skin back. Yes I 100% still recommended it. Ask your dermatologist about (Azelex suspension 20% cream) it’s very expensive but your insurance may cover it. That cream cleared my dark marks within 3 months after consistently using it. If you can’t get that, the azelic acid cream I put in the video is still good to use!

Were you applying the tretinion at night and the other (azelic cream) during day? or May I ask what was your routine when using both during the same time?

No, I just went through a purging phase which is when your skin gets rid of everything at once. After that my skin cleared and stayed clear
