I was 2011 and the only thing I remember is Columbine and how big a deal that was. That was talked about for years when we were kids, because that was really the only one. Or at least the only big one and now that’s not even close to the worst in terms of deaths.

Joey and I are the same age from the same city and he’s right. We were outside all the time as kids running around , playing sports, riding bikes etc. These kids today are pampered ,sedentary overweight drones.. They sit around alone texting, playing video games galore and develope mental health issues.

We never imagined school shootings back in the day. It never even came to mind . We fought with our hands when there was a beef with someone. The world has gone crazy and school shootings have gotten to be an everyday acceptance!

We were even allowed to take our rifles/shotguns to school. They had to be kept in car or in locker unloaded. Principal would even come on PS every morning reminding to keep unloaded if we was going hunting before/after school.

Well his memory ain't very good considering the very famous school shooting in Cleveland in 1979 that the Boomtown Rats sang about in their song " I Don't like mondays " There were then 12 school shootings in the 1980s and a peak of 36 in the 1990s So they definitely existed

I can name over 50 mass shootings during those time periods. Whether it was at school or public places.
