Tim Tebow does something flukey, Skip makes way more out of it than he should, Tim starts playing poorly, Skip ignores it and keeps harping back to the flukey thing Tim did, Tim ends up getting cut. I believe he's saying that Tebow has some very little skill and the drive to improve by playing with kids. Secondly the team he signed onto were well aware of the second job. So either didn't care and/or believe that Tebow can handle both responsibilities. We all don't wear just one hat. You, me, everyone has multiple responsibilities in life.

But, what active professional athlete do you know, misses multiple games, because they have another job? Some athletes have endorsement deals, and yes, they have to honor that agreement as well, but the athlete and the company endorsing know off top that practice and games comes FIRST. This is different than having a family emergency or being injured. I'll say it again. What message is that sending to the other players who are still there every day? What does that say to those who putting in work every game?

gleeson630 I hear where you're coming from. Very good points. I personally don't think he's a shoe in to be a MLB player. I do think he has enough talent that I won't count him out. I have a problem with the hate he has received overall. He wouldn't even need this venture if he wasn't banned from football for winning. I've argued with several numb-skulled over his numbers, and the fact that, as non-Brady as they were, they were far from a reason to ban him from football, especially with the crop of losers that are in the league now. Every discussion I've had on that, has rapidly degraded to childish banter, which speaks volumes for the mentality of the majority hating him.

OK I was all ready to get on the Shannon Sharpe bandwagon until I saw this video. Mr. Sharpe didn't mention race, but what exactly does he have against Tim Tebow? I find it very hard to believe that they would set up a pitch for him in this manner. And Skip has an excellent point. Even knowing what kind of pitch is coming, the ball and the bat are only so big. You have to connect almost perfectly dead center on both to hit a home run. It's not nearly so easy to do as Mr. Sharpe suggests that it is. You have to have pretty good hand-eye coordination to do it.

As a professional athlete and SB winner, Shannon respects the hustle ( the scamming )... but he does not respect Tebow's ineptitude. there is no better description of a "hater" than every anti Tebow critic that has blasted him since his NFL draft...for everything they have said he "can't" do...and every time they said "he's not an NFL style qb"...he passed, he ran, he moved the chains, he lead his team...and they had wins...they made playoffs...and a lot of times he did this within the last 2 minutes of the game!!! Most NFL coaches would say they dont expect everything on that list of accomplishments above from their qb...the only one I can think of that was expected to was Vick and they still had to change the playbook to his left handed style, plus brought Steve Young in during the off season to work with Vick to give him an accurate throwing game!!! Vick was 4.2 finesse and flight , Tebow is 4.5 power and push! stand your ground Skip!
