The issue though was he always put the team in a position where they needed a 4th quarter comeback for a win. They also always needed the defense to play great for 4 quarters for a chance to win. If they got into a big hole, they would lose.

The best thing about Tebow was that he would go visit kids in the hospital immediately after games. One time he threw four interceptions in a game. He was visiting someone right after and he took a deep breath and said, "Well, THAT didn't go the way I wanted it". And that was all he said about it. Lots of players visit hospitals but I never heard of a guy who did it right after games.

I remember it very well and I can, and will, deny it. Tebow was horrible. McDaniels was the worst coach we've had since the 80's, and by drafting Tebow ripped the franchise apart. Strong players were cut and traded, other players left because the team became a joke. Let's not romanticize that era, it was a huge mistake and it took a new coach, GM, Payton Manning, and some quality draft picks to turn it around.

What is really unappreciated, and was how much better Tebow played under Studesville than under Fox, and how amazing it was that a player with such glaring faults could make up for it by being so good when needed. The Tebow offence scored 1 td less per game under fox than under Studes! If he could have stopped being horrendous at short passing he could have been stellar, and he was a special QB for us. It was destructive to get rid of BLloyd and Buckhalter. who really had great rapport with Tebow.. It was stupid to give BLloyd away for nothing. I have no affinity for Matthew Willis as he was part of many of the things that did not work. Would have rather kept Fells or even better BLloyd. Imagine trotting out DT, BLloyd and Eric Decker... I feel sorry that we did not get to see Tebow grow, but getting Peyton was pretty good!

Tebow's haters and his stupid defenders don't even realize the most interesting thing about his career, by far, is that he played pro football in a completely unique style that is universally agreed not to work, basically running a college offense. The one time he was given the starting job, look what he did. He was inconsistent, but he was also young. It's ridiculous that he never started with the Jets because mark Sanchez was terrible. Tebow had a long awkward throwing motion, but he made play after play that made you just shake your head in amazement. I remember we had him pinned back on a 3rd & 25 and he stepped up in the pocket, got past all the pass rushers, committed to the scramble, got past all the linebackers, then the DB's and touchdown. He was the real deal. People who didn't like him just didn't like his political and religious views. Sad to see it. He had legendary potential.

The NFL didn’t consider the value of excellence under extreme pressure. This guy is a a competitive force when the game is on the line. He single handedly won games for an NFL team. I don’t care what they say, we saw him do it. He proved it and the NFL execs basically denied that it happened. It happened!!!!

Tebow was electric as a broncos fan that was one of the most fun seasons just the times with my friends lmao and we beat the stealers in a miracle and my friend wore an inflatable football costume the next week and we all got drunk and got absolutely whooped by the patriots haha it’s okay it was still fun. Good times

It confuses me when people say he's a really bad passer. I feel the reason they say that is because he's a lefty. Welcome back to the NFL Tim Tebow.

He has a 46.5 completion percentage which is horrible, he was pretty inaccurate but one hell of a runner, he should’ve switched to fullback/tight end a lot earlier

Lamar Jackson has actual arm strength and it doesn’t take him 5 seconds to wind up and throw the ball
@dadsonworldwide32383 жыл бұрын
@@jackyjack3193 yes they all have arm strength thats one of the dumbest points used. Its like saying 1 tenth of a second faster 40 is more than a 1nch difference over 20 yrds. Body types built athletic or for speed are almost always natural side arm bomd amd joint shoulders. Most often we have lose joints and in my case double jointed and can hyper extend joints . Its a handicap . big thick mlb pitchers or big Ben bodys complement over the top natural fluid motion and accuracy. Side arm outs funky movements on balls and makes intermediate passing a challenge. Y to z vertical or low hi inaccuracies isn't as bad as knuckle ball motion floating all over the 3/4 zones. All this sports med science is very defined. Obviously an individual can do something rare unique to seperate themselves for the norm. Tim tebow has pure "It factor" the immeasurable trait that debunks anylitics socialized in a box labeling. Lamar also but it comes a day when speed starts to regress at 27 ish . Power like tim Tebow is last thing to go .. Speed like lamar is first trait lost "see cam " was tweaner speed and power but the loss of step a few yrs ago was the end. If you want to start at qb over 30 you must pass from the pocket at a hi rate. Lamar is on the clock and ravens know it. They rather find out now if he can pass before his legs go and they sign him long term . Its huge year and pressure for lamar. Theyve gave him wr focusing on it and we will see this yr if he can take that giant leap

Tebow was ahead of his time. If he came out of University of Florida now he would have been a top pick in the draft and would have had a team built around him. Lamar Jackson proves the mobile QB run first kind of offense can work with fantastic success and Josh Allen proves that with the right coaching, you can become more accurate. While it wasn't his time to be a QB, it is now his time to be a TE. TEbow will make plays for the Jags, whether it be as a TE, wildcat guy, goal line gadget guy, or backup QB.

It is no wonder Peyton wanted to sign with Denver. Look at all of the time Tebow has to throw. Look at his weapons getting wide open. Look at the defense Denver had. All they needed was a QB who could play for 4 quarters and throw when his guys were NOT wide open as well.

Good thing Peyton fell into a good situation because he really stunk it up during the post season and nearly lost them the super bowl
@forrestgump6065 Жыл бұрын
the reason his receivers were wide open is because he was a good mobile quarterback who could run over their ass if they didn't respect his run game. he created the situation that would allow him to throw over their heads if they came up to hit him.
