I remember it very well and I can, and will, deny it. Tebow was horrible. McDaniels was the worst coach we've had since the 80's, and by drafting Tebow ripped the franchise apart. Strong players were cut and traded, other players left because the team became a joke. Let's not romanticize that era, it was a huge mistake and it took a new coach, GM, Payton Manning, and some quality draft picks to turn it around.

The best thing about Tebow was that he would go visit kids in the hospital immediately after games. One time he threw four interceptions in a game. He was visiting someone right after and he took a deep breath and said, "Well, THAT didn't go the way I wanted it". And that was all he said about it. Lots of players visit hospitals but I never heard of a guy who did it right after games.

You can deny his love for the game. He had plenty of opportunities to keep playing this game he allegedly loves all it would take was him switching positions. He refused and instead went on to stink up minor league baseball taking away a spot from some other deserving player. Now he’s in his thirties and will finally accept a position change because he cares more about being famous and talked about them actually what sport he is playing. I for one can’t wait for him to be cut before the season starts because he’s just not that good.

Tebow's haters and his stupid defenders don't even realize the most interesting thing about his career, by far, is that he played pro football in a completely unique style that is universally agreed not to work, basically running a college offense. And he nonetheless had a winning record and a playoff win that year, doing it in a way that it hasn't been done in like 50 years. So it is fascinating, and all the bullshit drama really doesn't matter.

Thank you NFL Throwback, as a Broncos fan I was waiting for this as that 2011 season with the magic of football being shown to me it is really the reason I fell in love with the Broncos and football all together so all of these memories very very fond btw Brandon Lloyd hella underrated he was my fav receiver him and Eddie Royal before DT and Decker, cant forget my guy Matthew Willis and Moreno but those teams man as much as I love the Peyton teams that 2010 and especially 2011 when we got Von was something to behold as a fan and Tebow may not have panned out but I will remain a fan of what he has done

What is really unappreciated, and was how much better Tebow played under Studesville than under Fox, and how amazing it was that a player with such glaring faults could make up for it by being so good when needed. The Tebow offence scored 1 td less per game under fox than under Studes! If he could have stopped being horrendous at short passing he could have been stellar, and he was a special QB for us. It was destructive to get rid of BLloyd and Buckhalter. who really had great rapport with Tebow.. It was stupid to give BLloyd away for nothing. I have no affinity for Matthew Willis as he was part of many of the things that did not work. Would have rather kept Fells or even better BLloyd. Imagine trotting out DT, BLloyd and Eric Decker... I feel sorry that we did not get to see Tebow grow, but getting Peyton was pretty good!

The NFL didn’t consider the value of excellence under extreme pressure. This guy is a a competitive force when the game is on the line. He single handedly won games for an NFL team. I don’t care what they say, we saw him do it. He proved it and the NFL execs basically denied that it happened. It happened!!!!

As a Raiders fan, I would've traded for Tebow in a heartbeat. The media said he couldn't throw and that he was a liability in the passing game, but he never played himself out of a job. The one time he was given the starting job, look what he did. He was inconsistent, but he was also young. It's ridiculous that he never started with the Jets because mark Sanchez was terrible. Tebow had a long awkward throwing motion, but he made play after play that made you just shake your head in amazement. I remember we had him pinned back on a 3rd & 25 and he stepped up in the pocket, got past all the pass rushers, committed to the scramble, got past all the linebackers, then the DB's and touchdown. He was the real deal. People who didn't like him just didn't like his political and religious views. Sad to see it. He had legendary potential.

@dadsonworldwide3238
@dadsonworldwide3238 3 жыл бұрын
@@jackyjack3193 yes they all have arm strength thats one of the dumbest points used. Its like saying 1 tenth of a second faster 40 is more than a 1nch difference over 20 yrds. Body types built athletic or for speed are almost always natural side arm bomd amd joint shoulders. Most often we have lose joints and in my case double jointed and can hyper extend joints . Its a handicap . big thick mlb pitchers or big Ben bodys complement over the top natural fluid motion and accuracy. Side arm outs funky movements on balls and makes intermediate passing a challenge. Y to z vertical or low hi inaccuracies isn't as bad as knuckle ball motion floating all over the 3/4 zones. All this sports med science is very defined. Obviously an individual can do something rare unique to seperate themselves for the norm. Tim tebow has pure "It factor" the immeasurable trait that debunks anylitics socialized in a box labeling. Lamar also but it comes a day when speed starts to regress at 27 ish . Power like tim Tebow is last thing to go .. Speed like lamar is first trait lost "see cam " was tweaner speed and power but the loss of step a few yrs ago was the end. If you want to start at qb over 30 you must pass from the pocket at a hi rate. Lamar is on the clock and ravens know it. They rather find out now if he can pass before his legs go and they sign him long term . Its huge year and pressure for lamar. Theyve gave him wr focusing on it and we will see this yr if he can take that giant leap

Tebow was ahead of his time. If he came out of University of Florida now he would have been a top pick in the draft and would have had a team built around him. Lamar Jackson proves the mobile QB run first kind of offense can work with fantastic success and Josh Allen proves that with the right coaching, you can become more accurate. While it wasn't his time to be a QB, it is now his time to be a TE. TEbow will make plays for the Jags, whether it be as a TE, wildcat guy, goal line gadget guy, or backup QB.

I never realized how much of a Marketing legend Tim Tebow is until recently when he came back to the NFL. He def isnt a goat because of his play on the field. He was very average at best. But SEC fans need to actually thank this man for being the face behind the rise of the SEC dominant run of 10 years. Tim Tebow is the reason why the SEC narrative became elitist like. The Southeastern Conference was a symbolic representation of the South, rising again. And the new civil war was transferred to sports. Every SEC National Championship win, is a win for the south against the rest of the country. This is not a reach.. please follow me on this... Tim Tebow became a household name back in 2006 when he was a freshman QB at Florida; splitting time with Chris Leak. The story about his character, his virginity, and his family's missionary work was a constant conversation piece on TV. During this 2006 season, the SEC wasn't talk about as the premiere conference. They were respected but the elite football programs were USC, Texas, Ohio State, and Michigan. Here is the proof to what I am telling you. IN 2006, the entire season was talking about #1 Ohio State and #2 Michigan. Both going undefeated the entire year. There was a side story about Tim Tebow; but never about the SEC. Just Tebow. Once Florida smoked Ohio State in that 2007 NC game. Tim Tebow suddenly became the hero. Because remember, Florida were the underdogs in that game. Suddenly, Ohio State was too slow, and not enough talent on the defensive line and offensive line. And the SEC now has the blueprint to winning NCs. These were words straight from Kirk Herbstreit's mouth after OSU lost. His OSU. Tim Tebow became the face of College Football. Chris Leak graduated. It's not Tebow's Team. Alabama hires Nick Saban as HC. A very average Alabama team. But Tebow Mania was massive and set the tone for the media to use him as the source behind their new agenda of painting the SEC narrative as elite. LSU wins a NC against OSU in 2008 but Tebow wins the Heisman as a Sophmore. And they were trying their best to make Tim Tebow a two time Heisman winner but they gave it to Sam Bradford in 2009. Cam Newton in 2010. Tebow left Florida as a GOD. I remember Florida fans crying during his last game. Balling their eyes out!! Anyways.... He goes onto the NFL draft where he was projected to be a 3rd round selection and was told to prepare to play another Position. Either TE or FB. But Josh McDaniels notoriously trades back into the first round and drafts Tebow. Why did he draft him? Because Tebow brought fans, and money. It wasn't about if he was good enough. It was about jersey sales, image, and marketing. The face of your organization is a white male Christian and "winner". The SEC narrative was monstrous as well so that helped. Tebow was AVERAGE at QB. But anything he did positive, people like Skip Bayless went out of his way to praise as if he was already an NFL hall of famer. All because they need to promote to their fans that someone who looks and lives like them is the leader of a football team. When tebow fizzled out from Football. He moved to analyst status. The man was treated like royalty then. And thats why the Mets decided to pick him up. Same reason why McDaniels drafted him in the first round. And same reason why Urban Meyer is converting him at TE. Jersey sales, butts in seats and media attention.
