Well, hate Jones or not I believe it's between Fields and Jones. I don't think you trade up all the way to 3 to get Lance, considering he will probably be available a few spots later at least. I don't think the idea of Jones is that crazy. He is more mobile that people realize, he just very rarely ran in college because he didn't need to. He is also much more accurate than Fields and reads defenses much better and quicker than Fields. Also his in-pocket movement is better than Fields, even though he doesn't leave the pocket a lot. Less athletic than Fields, obviously, but he does have a big edge on Fields in several categories. I think everyone is vastly overvaluing the ability to run for QBs lately just because we've seen more that do run. Yes it's nice but it's a small piece of the puzzle.

It's tough tbf, fields and Wilson are similar, but Wilson beat worse defenses but then Fields had a better offense ie wr, o-line etc so it's hard to say. Jones had good offense but is not as physically gifted as those 2, but from all reports is better mentally ie, reading defense and going through progressions. I think any of the 3 could be a success.

Kyle hasn't been able to win a super bowl with those type QBs. I don't see him drafting another stuck in the pocket type QB. The pick will be Fields. Fields is a pocket QB, that just happens to be extremely fast. Wilson is the more intriguing prospect because of his arm talent, but he tends to flush the pocket a lot from what I've seen. Even when he doesn't have to. I think Fields gives him the best of both worlds. How he likes his QBs, but also adapting to where the QB position is heading.

Shanahan’s future and Lynch’s future with the 49ers will be dictated on who they draft at 3, and I guarantee you if they draft any QB outside of Wilson or Fields and if by some miracle Lawrence drops to 3, I can guarantee you Shanny and Lynch are done and heading out of San Francisco. If They draft Mac Jones and it doesn’t pan out then it’ll be a “ told you so” but if they draft Justin Fields and it goes sideways then they won’t be held as accountable as bad as they would be drafting Jones, because the ceiling for Fields was assumed to be very high.

When healthy the 49ers roster is built to compete for a super bowl. If they think Jimmy G. is good enough to lead this team then why move up? Sign a veteran if your worried about his injury history. With what they have to move up to 3 they should be thinking they are drafting this years starter. They have a lot of guys to pay the next few years. Having Jimmy G. off the books and QB on a rookie contract seems like the best move if they believe in that guy.

I believe him, the kid is brilliant, I saw him breaking down the play by play of 49ers tape, what they like, everything expected of the Qb, there, the concepts Kyle implements. He processes and implements information he’s learned on the field like a machine, I think he could be as effective of a day one starter as Burrow and Herbert were, memorizing much of the playbook on the fly.

I don't think Jimmy G is going to be traded. JG I believe has 3 years left, but even if its 2 you draft the kid, he sits behind JG and learns or he's JG insurance because the guy is always hurt. 90% of the JG being traded rumors are coming out of NE media who are desperate to see him come back to the Pats to the point they're trying to manufacture it into happening.
