As skip said, Jimmy is 5-0 vs Rams. In those games, his qbr is 68 and he averages 250 yards passing per game and a 70% completion percentage. Also, he has 7 td - 5 int but most of his interceptions are throws that he could've easily thrown out of bounds. People criticize Jimmy but they seem to forget that his stats aren't inflated because the 49ers are a RUNNING team. This game is going to be close and I wouldn't be surprised if the 49ers win.

The 49ers committed a ton of PI penalties earlier in the season. Josh Norman was responsible for more than a few of those. Now he's on the bench and they're no longer committing them at such a high rate. This isn't a battle of the September version of these teams, this is a battle of the January version. Their recent work is their most meaningful work and the 49ers pass defense's most recent work was shutting down Aaron Rodgers.

So what it comes down to is this: will the 49ers receivers drop more passes than the Rams running backs fumble the ball? Garoppolo v. Stafford is mostly even. Both might win or lose you the game with a single throw. It comes down to whose defense hits home more often and which offense manages to clean up their act. They beat the collapsing Cardinals round 1, and they almost blundered a huge lead against a terrible Bucs team who had missing offensive linemen and WRs.. Meanwhile the 49ers defense just shutdown the N.1 scoring offense in the Cowboys and then shutdown (on a short week) a rested likely MVP QB led Packers.

The cowboys are the most overrated team in the league most of their offensive success came against trash teams so of course the niners shut them down, and the bucs were missing A wr, and A offensive lineman, and calling them terrible just because they lost is pure delusion

The Rams were missing both starting safeties, inside LB, best run stuffing DT, #2 WR, Pro Bowl LT and #2 RB. They had more guys out than Tampa, but apparently that excuse only applies to Brady. By the way, the collapsing Cardinals had just beaten the Cowboys.
