Skipped School For 11th Oldest Course In World // Scotland Ep. 6

Finlay Galloway is a legend. The dude skipped school to host Erik Anders Lang, Colt, and Hafer at his home club: Leven Links. Not only is Leven the 11th oldest club in the world, but the original course was designed by (you guessed it) Old Tom Morris.
Leven is also home to the 2nd toughest finishing hole in the UK and out of bounds markers that could stop a WW2 German tank. A true links course on the ocean that goes out and back, Leven has a bowling club, two clubhouses, and some old school Stonehenge-like monoliths across the street.

Finding an amazing Course in Scotland is like shooting fish in a barrel. You can feel the history of these Courses through the screen. I've always wanted to visit Scotland to play, but seeing the secret Courses you've found, I don't think I'd make it to St Andrews. It looks as though there's great experiences to be had everywhere.

And great thing in winter its only like 20 pound to play, great atmosphere as full of members as not overly expensive. Erik your scottish series as someone who is scottish is great and you did great job showcasing everything from friendliness to the courses and towns.

I watch a lot of your videos and couldn't believe you're in my home village this episode! I grew up in Lundin Links and the ladies was the first course I played. I was a member of lundie golf club for years before moving to Canada and played Leven many times. Btw Lundie is a better course than Leven so make sure you play it next time. I also got married at the Old Mannor hotel!

On my first visit to play Leven links in mid-September trying to make polite conversation with the starter, I mentioned that the Course looked in good condition. He looked at me with utter disdain and announced that it looked terrible because at this time of year the grass should be "BURRRRRRRRRRNT"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (By which he meant that the fairways should be the colour of ripe corn and not green as they were due to recent rain). You learn quickly as an Englishman in Scotland not to inflame the sensibilities of the locals!
