I want to thank you for the fantastic fishing experiences and your keeping it fun and clean. I am recovering from cancer treatment and your channel allows me to go fishing one or more times a day online. How much fun. I can feel the adrenaline and the tug on the line. Can't wait to get back outside and fish in real water.

RICHARD your ability to catch fish is second to no one . But it's your love for the sport of fishing and your catch and release and your appreciation for the fish that make you number one . I also like how you take care of your boat and fishing equipment. You are such a great representative of what makes a great fisherman. Stay yourself always . Life is good!!

Richard, great video. I did not know the facts bout fishing crappie out. I worry about it in my home river system. We have several lakes off the river that people really wear them out in. It's always a thrill when you hook a big fish on an ultralight. Where I live now in Colorado I've hooked quite a few pike. When I lived in Texas I was catching specks and reds with little Roadrunners and free shrimping. You might lose some that way but you get an epic battle.

Richard. you know I"m your biggest fan. FYI The crappie you are calling "black nose" are listed in Mississippi Wildlife and Fisheries as "Magnolia Crappie." They were genetically altered years ago. They stock the small and medium-size lakes with these sterile hybrids. They use sterile crappie for bass food and for sports fishing. They know the crappie will take over a new lake if they use regular ones. They stock lakes with these fish by the tens of thousands depending on the size of the lake. They do this after they empty the lake of all fishes. "Lake Wathall" was stocked with these fish about five years ago. I have caught two of them 14.25 inches long already this year while bass fishing. Thought you might like to know. I'll bet Alabama has done the same thing. They probably get in those huge water systems you fish in due to flooding. Love your show. Keep it up.

that dock sure was holding big crappie,,i have a crappie fishing question that I hope you will answer for me,,, we crappie fish mostly around bridges,, on a windy day it is hard to get the 1/32 oz jig down to where the crappie are,,which is better,, add a split shot on the line or use a heaver jig head,, we are verticle jigging
@RichardGeneTheFishingMachine7 жыл бұрын
In my opinion, I would go to a heavier jig head no doubt! By adding a split shot, it actually hinders the natural action of a jig when vertical jigging. Thanks for watching Glenn!

I caught a dang carp on a good-sized minnow once. The thing was 21.1lbs if I'm remembering the right fish and caught after playing him for about 10 minutes on 6lb test line. You never know what you're gonna catch and that's one of the fun things about fishing. I've watched a few of your videos now and you, sir, got yourself a new subscriber. I found where you're fishing in Google Earth there by Sewell Ferry and the bridge which is pretty neat. I even found the dock. Ever spy out fishing spots with it? :)
