The ACC crappie rod you’re using was designed and built in my hometown of Mt. Vernon Illinois. The guy who makes them is a hell of a nice guy. ACC rods are the only crappie rods I use.

3:33 I'm 15 and I've been fishing with my grandfather my entire life, He's a River fisherman himself so he fishes with the seasons more so.. White bass, Striper, Crappie.. But Crappie fishing is his favorite and it's become mine too... Learning to shoot i can't coun't the amount of times i accidentally buried a jig up in my finger lol. I also do alot of smallmouth fishing.

Another nice video. The "Elmo" looks a lot like a common tie known as Gray Ghost which never has been real productive for me. The "Twilight" seemed to be working very good for you though. I will have to try to tie up some of those and see how they work.

Hey Richard. Is the ACC rod like you are using no longer available? I have googled it, and at ACC they only offer 10 and 11 foot trolling rods. Other than the ACC, what brand and length would you recommend for shooting docks?
@RichardGeneTheFishingMachine7 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure about that, it's been a while sense I've talked to them. i would recommend a 5 1/2 or 6ft rod, 1 piece. As far as brand i like ACC but any rod that fits the length/ and the fact that it's one piece will work just fine. Thank you for watching Richard!!

What an wunderfull way to fish. I starded flyfishing because learn to make little streamer and Nimfs for light bass fishing here in the Netherlands and catch and release we called it streetfishing but I want to make the link to flyfishing too and to fish lighter then that. And what you do is what I mean its almost like a game to feel them coming, they twist again the jig or line and wait for nibble and the bite. So light baits lines rod and reels is having great fun. Thum ups
