The new Bul optic system uses very thin plates with the bosses on them to help hold the optic but the optic screws go through it and mount directly to the slide. I’d still call it a “direct mount” with an “adapter” plate. Bul does include 3 plates with each gun. Bul is my new favorite pistol. The Tac Pro 5” is absolutely awesome.

@ the one thing I wish they would do is offer a steel grip option for a bit more weight. Unfortunately since they use the Para style mag the grips aren’t swappable with other 2011 grips. Their polymer grip is quite good and I actually much prefer it to my XC, but I’d love 6-7 more ounces overall to get up to 43-44 ounces.

No but you can swap a 2011 grip and use 2011 mags with the Bul Armory 2011s….one of my friends has a Aluminum Cheely Grip on his 2024 Tac Pro and now he uses 2011 style mags.

Staccato changes their product line every year. I know the market always looks for new products, but I feel Staccato abandons their legacy/older models. I thought the cs and c were their future. Those products will probably be phased out soon. It seems the 2011 market is over saturated. I do agree that the hd lineup is a good move for them. Hopefully their new patents will hold off their competitors. Everybody has seen their success and most companies are just copying them. The platypus and fusion have pushed them to innovate and that is always a good thing.

I totally agree with your comments. It is juvenile to build up your product by putting down others, especially one with a track history like Glock. And please note that I am not a Glock fan. I have a C2 and was considering getting a C until these new HDs came out. The HD is heaver than the C because of the steel frame that they switched to ignorer to meet endurance testing I believe. Staccato's small parts fulfillment does seem lacking. When I called them to buy additional recoil springs I was referred to Dawson. I have been shooting for many years and never have been referred by the mfg to someone else for parts. A optic ready gun should come with everything to mount a common optic especially when a gun cost $2500 to #3000. We are well past the point when shooting optics is a novelty. The P4 would be my choice, but the Series 80 4.0 - 4.5# trigger is too heavy for my taste. I have been shooting Series 70 1911's for many decades and do not see the need to fix a non-issue. Once they become available in LGS when I can evaluate one, I may get one.

I 100% don’t support the shit talking, however I don’t look at any of these 2011s and say “these are better” you could compare them to the other Staccato models and try to make an argument, sure, but the only thing the HD has in common with some of these other pistols is the MAGAZINE compatibility. Anytime I see another 2011 all I see is “OUR chocolate ice cream is better than their chocolate ice cream” basically zero actual innovation. The HD (specifically being ambi) is the only reason I’ll ever own a Staccato. Mag compatibility is a bonus, and actually rounds out my pistol “collection” right next to my OA2311c

The majority of companies that supply plates in the box cut corners (they are plastic, or cheap metal, or simple plastic spacers). You’re spending $2800 on a gun. I doubt they want to put cheap plates in the box. Makes sense to have the customer buy the $60-80 plate and get the quality one they sell for their specific optic.

It’s because Tony pig ago left along with Nate horvath I believe as well. Their marketing team has changed over several times as well. I own several staccatos but the last one I bought along with everyone else I know has been complete shi. They are sloppy put together you can see right through the frame and slide and there is so much slop in the frame it’s insane. Staccatos problem is the grew to fast and their qc has just fallen off along with all the people coming and going in the company doesn’t help either.

So, basically you're saying what's the point in buying a staccato other than to just waste money. Staccato had it good for a while there but these new companies are revolutionizing the 2011 platform. All of these other companies coming out with these more budget minded builds are, actually, very nice. The missing adapter plates is a huge fuck up by Staccato. They said they will start shipping them out in a couple of weeks which actually means a month or more in gun world. That's a huge turn off but I was more interested in 4.5 anyway which ships out in the spring. I had no interest in the 4 inch version nor being an early adopter anyway so I'll just wait. Patience is a virtue.

People say old staccatos used to come with an optic plate or two in the box. And considering the now standard buy-in price is $2500 starting. You should get an optic plate. Idc if it's 1 or 2 in box like a rmr footprint or dpp, anything else you gotta buy. Or 1 free one you get in the mail after like walther. But spending $2500+ on a gun than having to but an optic plate for another $130 without tax or shipping is a joke. Staccato does a lot of things right except for this. With the new HD doing the same thing, and the "base" model starting at $2500 coming with only 2 mags. And the new plate design is a simple pass through optic plate for $80, is still not in the box? Ridiculous! I have a staccato so I'm not just talking out my ass about something i can't afford, and I want / will likely get an HD. But that price point is a bit high for the what's in the box cost.... Lastly they offer $800 off the HD or 20% all other guns (not including customization), so they have good margins. Not saying they shouldnt, but an extra mag or optic plate at their cost is much less and if they make 30% on every gun they make thats kinda stingy...

How does it shoot compared to the Stacatto P? I’m guessing it’s snappier but I’m curious. I think I like the C2 recoil impulse over the P, which I know is crazy, but I might buy this HD. Lastly, I agree with your take on the trash toward Bob and the XP, he’s a great guy out there in the gun world and it’s a good gun.

I’m not sure why they even released the Staccato C in 2024 with the new proprietary mags. It was my first 2011 so I went with it bc I didn’t have any other 2011 mags regardless and I’m not made of money so I only planned on getting one. Issue is it came with 2 mags and they’ve been sold out since release. They used to come with 4, now it’s 2. However I do own a bunch of Glock mags and 6 months later this comes out for the same price point? A bit confused and disappointed. If I can’t get more mags by the time the 4.5” releases I’ll be trading in. They’re releasing new guns and can’t even get folks mags to the guns released the year prior or add on to the already released versions, example I want 20+ rounders for the C but at this point would be happy with more stock mags.

Honestly the only reasons I’ve been looking at the staccato HD over the other 2 mentioned. Is the grip looks to be slimmer than the other 2 and it doesn’t have grip safety which for me is huge because I hate them. Also you can use all controls one handed

What screws did you use for the SCS320? Did you have to shorten the screws to get it to fit? What torque value did you use?

They are being beaten at their own game. I for one am happy to see them stumble I had their stuff back when they where called sti out of 5 I had, I could only get one to run correctly I have no faith in "staccato". I'll take the turks version all day.

I really love my XP PRO Shoot amazing... Have everything Needed in the 2011 market and with the difference in price with staccato I can buy 5000 training rounds

I think saying "so don't show it to us" in response to the 4.5 not coming til Summer is mind-numbingly silly. They whole point of Shot Show is to show what's coming up later on. A high percentage of the guns are coming some time later. No idea what you are saying. The rest of points on Staccato are spot on...including the plate needed for a direct mount.

I personally wasn’t a fan of the stacatto p I bought.. didn’t really think the fit was that great I have had several sti pistols back in the day which were great my Trojan in 9mm 😅s prolly one of my favorites still today. From what I understand from other is stacatto is a marketing machine and do quite well at advertising but now they have the I the king mentality and forgot what got them there. This reminds me of the oracle arms pistol on the sig mag platform mall that said I would try the 4.5 with the block.

I've been trying to by CS mags for 6 months now. Unobtainium. Looks like they all were working on the Gloccato. Not interested in it. I never owned a Glock.

I totally agree that Staccato should provide the option to select an optic plate during the custom checkout process. However, I guess I'm not following the logic that Staccato is somehow screwing the consumer by not including it. I've never known Staccato to include the optic plates free or in the box.

It’s on their website, I found it and added it to my order. For those that got it from their dealer they should have ordered plates. They also listed optics installed and those include the plate install and zero. I would have added that but they didn’t have the rmr hd.

Called staccato and they said don’t run an optic without the spacer. Let us know how yours goes. I guess long at the firing in block spring and plunger is captured it’s fine. Got mine today

It’s just not good cause there’s no bosses so all the stress is on the screws tell staccato I wouldn’t have to if they supplied plates for there plate less system 🤦🏼

you have shot them both, what are the differences between the fusion pro and the hd p? and how do they both compare to a 45/19x with radian comp? I currently own a decked out g19x with radian comp etc, shoots flatter then anything I have shot besides a XC, also got a cz 75 p01 and SIG macro X radian comped and icarus ace frame: is it worth it to get a fusion or hd p over the g19x/45 radian comped and if so, whats the point in keeping the glock (if your not filthy rich) and would the fusion or hd p be carried by you, I sold my C2 because it was so pricey and my g19x shot better (c2 was fast and maybe a little more accurate) and I didint carry it over my macro
