You just keep that winter out your way! lol We've been lucky so far. Had someone I knew a number of years ago now that used straw bales all around his RV and built it up to surround the whole thing. Not really sure how it all worked out, but when I had seen a picture, it looked pretty good. Lots of work, but it sure does pay off well to keep warm during those long cold winter months. Take care.

Maybe next winter you can design and build a more permenent thing by using cinder blocks as skirting walls. I assume it is possible to still be able to drive away the rv from a u shaped enclosure... A pool noodle seal could work to take up the gap between the rv and the cinder block walls...

I'm wondering if it would help to have a couple pieces of scrap plywood to skirt the area around the RV door so you can open it when the wood stove is on to allow heat to go under the RV. A little fan to push the warm air under there would help too.

First, I think you should watch some videos on tool safety, second you'd be better off using rigid foam insulation on your skirting, third you're going to get tons of moisture running off of the camper top into the "winter" room if you don't figure out how to make it water tight. Please be safer, and I hope you get it done before it's too cold. (PLEASE RESEARCH FIRE SAFETY BEFORE YOU INSTALL THE STOVE!!!)
@exploringmybackyard22 сағат бұрын
@@staceyvegamarkum4071 thank you I appreciate your concern and yes, I should slow down and be a little safer. I agree 100%. The reason I’m using insulated tarps with an airspace is a little more effective and gives me a better R value. The stove install I contacted a local supplier that sells wood stoves and explained what I was doing. They said it would work just fine as long as I had the clearance with the Roxel insulation and the cement board. The distance should be greater than 10 inches which I have, appreciate you stopping by. Thank you for your concerns.

@exploringmybackyard thank you for responding! I was sincere with the concerns I stated before and I'm happy to hear you sought out advice for the wood stove.
