Killing COTS

Video taken in May 2024 on the coral reefs of the Florida Islands of the Solomon Islands showing two methods of killing Crown-Of-Thorns Seastars (COTS). When present in large numbers, these voracious coral predators can kill all the reef-building corals, leaving behind bleached and dead skeletons. COTS are covered with toxic spines and these control methods are not recommended for inexperienced divers.
