@@HatBoyHarvey today I a checked fuse and light all OK, so I picked up a reverse switch, I'll replace that in the morning,hopefully that sorted my problem, I don't want no wiring issues, it can be pain if don't know where the problem is!

Thank you very much Sir. Your video is quite educative. I have SDI Fabia 1.9 made 2005 and I have problem that is occasionally locked the door by itself. Even while in driving. Once I had situation that I left the key in steering wheel lock and went out from car when it was suddenly locked. Since then, I have a spare key hanging around my neck. Thank you.

Thanks. I also experienced this 120km from home in the middle of nowhere! I remember hearing the car lock and looked inside at the keys in the ignition. I had to get a friend to drive to my house and get my second key, drive the 120km to rescue me - long day. It is almost certainly door lock microswitch or connection issue, mine was the lock microswitch.

Hello! First of all thank you very much for the videos you are making for the Fabia mk1, they have been extremely helpful as I myself own a 1.2 Fabia '03. Though I have one very persistent issue, my speakers work only when they please, it's mostly my left speaker going crazy. I've tried removing the head unit and moving the cables slightly, I can see that the connections (or the cables) aren't right because it works and cuts off as I move the cables. Do you think I should remove the whole dash and change the cables or just perhaps check/replace the connections that go into the head unit? Thank you in advance!

You're very welcome. It sounds like the connector going into the head unit or the head unit socket maybe loose and may need soldering within the unit (be sure this is the case before going further). I would first have a look at the top connection and cables behind the door bellows on the A pillar to the side of the dodgy speaker. wires can fray there and connections become damp/corroded. If no luck then take the door panel off and look at the connection there. Hope this helps :-)

i believe the switch is: 02T 945 415 P for engine codes CHFA,CGPA, CBZA,CBZB, BXW,CGGB, BTS,CFNA it is further down on the front of the box

Yes, completely different engine and gearbox and air intake, but lots in common also so stay tuned :-)

@@HatBoyHarvey mine is 2003 AQW 1.4 mpi. The intake pipe starts in the same place, but the opening in the front after the hood does not have the plastic box. The pipe just rest there and the air that not goes to pipe passes to the engine compartment. Never understood this. Do you think there is a part missing? From wich year is yours Fabia?

I take it you changed the injectors for new ones with the same part number? This must be done. If ok then the electrical connection or wiring has a short or open circuit. They often become loose on the connection. Test the loom/Fit a new loom.

I replaced my Reverse Light Switch and now the reverse light only comes on when the car is in Neutral or Forward gears. Turns off when it's in Reverse 😂

as far as i know you shouldn't touch glass of bulb with your hands
