The Endeavour is the best SUV in my opinion too. But then, I can't stop looking at the Kodiaq - it's just so elegant & no-nonsense. It appeals to the perfectionist in me.

Loved the review! One thing i do not agree on though is the ride quality verdict..i felt the endeavour is much better than the fortuner in the city..cause it absorbs bumps very well.. But on the highway since the fortuner has a stiffer suspension it feels a tad bit more stable that the endeavour...regardless..i felt the endeavour has the best overall ride quality...

Endeavour needs to Shed weight. F-150 shares similar chassis in US , they have now introduced aluminium parts within the chassis which helped weight reduction and hence more performance more fuel efficiency and less carbon footprint. Ford can also update the infotainment system like the one in Ecosport. The seats in Kodiaq seems the best. Ford Ecoblue Diesel with 10 speed automatic and the new aluminium chassis can increase the Price but if that can save the environment , improve performance handling and have better economy it will be the best SUV. Ford can also has a V6 diesel in markets overseas but India gets this old Motor?? Ford should update some of the missing features like electric foldable mirror, Push button start an Option for manual( with clutch Gearbox as good as a petrol hatch so that it can harness enough sales and the interiors should also be black without skimmed features). The smaller SUVs like Jeep are gonna eat up this SUV segment , And Full sized SUV's with Fuel efficient motors means people will think twice before buying 5 seater SUV's. Ford has the products and technologies but doesn't offer the Best For Indian market.

Long term reliability. The fortuner is based on hilux, a truck that cannot break down even if you try to ..... that would be the difference once each of these vehicles cross 80k kms

Fortuner is best in this trio, endeavor can't do offroad like fortuner, see endeavor vs fortuner offroad test, fortuner on avg sales in india 2100 units per month while edeovour only sells 500 units in india avg per month, also resale value of endeavor is almost 30 percent less than fortuner .

wrong Endeavor can do offroad better if it had MT in 3.2 TDCi, the 2.2 TDCi 4x4 Manual of Endeavor can easily hang on beat the Fortuner with that Watts Link rear setup Now regarding the sales, its purely based on Toyotas brand reputation not because the car is better, just like how the Corolla which is a stupid CRAP sells 4x times comapred to much much much much better Skoda Octavia

codenamearun Fortuner is definitely the sales king of this segment by a huge margin in India .. but that is not because fortuner is better than endeavour.. that is primarily due to the bhakt mentality .. apart from fuel economy endeavour is better in almost every way than the fortuner. Looks are subjective and that is a seperate issue. How you have gotten this idea that fortuner is better off road than endeavour is surprising.. in Australia where the endeavour / everest was developed and in other international markets endeavour is competing with Toyota Prado not fortuner in performance, pricing and class. Most expensive variant of fortuner is cheaper than cheapest variant of endeavour. Please judge with open mind and maximum info.

there is a flaw in the middle seat of this vehicle the seat belt bucckels dont fold and they are protruded out all the time and u can feel the pinch of the hump in ur rear all the time if sitting tight with three passangers or kids wish to lay flat on the middle seat so the practicality for long run use is zero for a family.. of the middle seat . the rear buckles do fold with the seat but the middle one. I ASKED FOR PEOPLE and the Field engineer inspected the same at bhopal workshop raised hand .. what they did wrong is that they used hard wired bucckle that dont fold nor the groover between the seat is big enogh knotch to hold the buckle if lowered so they are out of seat all the time and thus the middle seat looses the practical utility.. secondly the MRF tyre are a totall misfit in the vehicle i had in row two tyres bursted in 24 hours time met a major accident and the vehicle remained stranded at BHOPAL workshop my dashcam recorded the live footage of accident too.. the vehicle is under repairs for over 2 months now. THEY DONT HAVE SPARE PARTS and most of them are imported or stock awaited so one should keep this in mind if they believe your review.. else what you said in the review is perfectly all right. my vehicle was just 2500km driven and in was returning from bhopal to jaipur when tyre bursted and i lost controll over the steering as it was hard and cannot depress the breaks so no mauverabliltiy.

When buying a 40 lakh vehicle then you should consider resale value. Endeavour wont fetch more than 10L after 5 years but fortuner will easily get you 22-25 lacs resale value.
