Excellent explanation! Do you know when it starts warning based on milage (km).

If it is set on variable service then the light can come on anytime the computer thinks it needs to be serviced based on use (hard driving it will come on sooner) from all the various sensors around the car. Fixed service is exactly that, which is set usually for 12 months, oil service 15,000 Km. Your data sticker will show either QG1For variable service or QG0,QG2 for fixed length service. Sticker near tyre well.

I understand. But if I am correct informed, VW starts warning when 3000km left up to service. Audi starts at 2000km. What is it with the Skoda. I think I saw over 2000km. Can that be?

Harvey ! I wanna let you know first off that you are doing awesome work, keep it up, mate. A quick question, when I unlock my SKODA Superb 2012, the fuel lid also pops open (Like it comes out) and it wouldn't go in unless I lock the doors again with my key and press it in. Any solution? Thank you very much for the support, I'll try my best as always. Hmm, not sure what's going on there, obviously this shouldn't happen. If nothing shows up on diagnostics if you have that or can get it done then maybe the solenoid and bowden cable attachment is too tight either on the ends or the whole cable. Have a scout round the internet to see if this has come up before and let me know how you get on fixing it, good luck, regards, H :-)

with the ignition of press and hold down the trip button (0.0) turn ignition on and the service menu should come up - use the steering wheel scroll button to move up/down and press to reset :-)

Should do. ignition off, press an hold, turn on, inspection service - reset, ok turn off back on - gone. try again, if this doesn't work then I don't know. Some other VAG variants stop you from resetting the service inspection (Audi 1.6 8P) is one I know does that, but never heard a skoda with it. Have a few attempts again over a few days making double sure you are doing it right and let us know how you get on.

Use the button to the left of the rev counter to bring up the service then use the right button to the speedo with two O.O on it :-)

I just bought a superb combi ambition mk2 without buttons in the steeringwheel. But i cant get into any menu like you could. I've tried pushing and holding the 2 buttons at the speedo. but nothing Happens. Will that mean i dont have it. Or is something wrong?

Do you have a rocker button on the end and a lower button on the wiper stalk?

@@eyyaya You can press the lower button briefly then press the wheel button on the steering wheel, so It looks as though yours doesn't have the information display like mine. Have you managed to reset the service with the buttons on the side of the rev/speed displays?

@@eyyaya When you come to service the car next time you can use the buttons next to the speed/rev displays to reset the service warning If you are going to do your own service. Skoda are great cars, so enjoy :-)
