I did the exact same thing to a 1972 International bus back in the 80s. Drove it all over the US for fifteen or so years. It finally got too old to maintain so I gave it away. My kids still yell at me for getting rid of it. Good times!

When you set up your stall at the markets to sell your art, you should also set up a little 'hairdressing' nook on the side. Heaps of people would stop for a quick haircut! How amazing would that be?! What a gorgeous free spirit you are, enjoying life and moving ahead bravely, without regrets! All the best to you from Australia!

@ArthurBrinkman-c5z4 жыл бұрын
When I first saw it I thought she bought the old Partridge Family Bus, I really like the ceiling in it. She might really want to have a lot of the windows dark tinted. When I bought my coach before I even brought it home off the lot I stopped at a tint shop and had the bedroom windows tinted limousine black and the other windows minus the front windshield tinted 50%. It helps to keep the coach cool. I also have two roof top A/C units. I live in a 36ft Gulfstream Sunstream Hi Rise Class A I have lived in this coach for more than 20+ year's. I like the Schoolies proof you don't have to live in a $300,000 Motor Mansion. I like how creative the Schoolies are. I've renovated my interior as well. And some area's more than once. I think I've picked out my next celing from this video!

This has been my dream since I was a small child, honestly, I am so in-love with this idea. The thing is though, I can’t drive 😤 (both Legally and actually, I am legally blind so it’s against the law and safety for others and myself and I also find driving to be too much 🙄 [its kind of what makes me not hate that I can’t do it 🤷♂️]) so I would have to get with someone that can and hopefully my partner gets why this is such a great idea. Maybe some time in my 20s, midway through college. (I am still a teen)

Hi fellow Seattlite Randy! Love your bus! I'm trying to decide between a stick built tiny house, or doing a school bus conversion, but with a bus that has a wheelchair lift so my daughter can get in, and I can take her around the country. Travel is very hard for her, not only for comfort, but for hygiene and other things. Wheelchair modified RV's are extremely expensive and rare, so now I'm seeing if converting a bus with a wheelchair lift would be feasible. Thanks for the inspiration!
@hcrawford796 жыл бұрын
Arianne Collman i wouldn't think it would be all that difficult to install a lift in a bus. They have them for the kids anyway
@Briebabcock80526 жыл бұрын
Just look around on google. There are plenty of wheel chair lift buses that are of reasonable size.
@barbibutton96194 жыл бұрын
Tiny houses would not fair as well moving about as much as it sounds like you are wanting to do. The bus with a wheelchairift sounds more reasonable but that's just what I've heard and just my opinion - and we all know what those are about, lol. But what a wonderful experience u would be able to give your daughter by taking her around the country. Especially since she is less mobile than most. It may be her only chance while mom is still around, ya know?

As Americans we have lost the pride and joy of building our own home. These conversions bring back some of that satisfaction. Wellness granted to the builder and the environment!
@timamyett4 жыл бұрын
As an American I have built or remodeled virtually everything I have lived in except 2 temporary rent houses. I've built 4 cabins 3-4 barns 3 homes and helped on dozens of friends' houses. I also know dozens of other guys that have done the same thing. As an American there are a lot of people like me ...and there are a lot of people like you.... and that all OK! But just because you are not familiar with us does not mean we are not out here. If you get out and travel you will see a whole different world , that you didn't know even existed .

Cute name for your bus - and I really admire the attitude - wanting to "make the world a better and more beautiful place". Just a note, though - that it's ordinary people living ordinary lives faithfully and honorably, with no special recognition, who already do "amazing things to make the world a better and more beautiful place". That covers everyone from stay-at-home-moms, to dads who may stay at a boring job to faithfully put food on the table. It's those everyday normal people, single or not, who who do good deeds for their elderly and/or disabled neighbors or anyone else who needs a hand - w/o expecting to get paid for it. Even a kind word at the right moment to someone else (especially when we're not feeling so good ourselves) can make a huge difference in two people's lives (yours and the other person's). It's living our everyday lives like that which makes our acts "amazing things" that make the world a better place. Imagine if we'd all been raised with the understanding that you don't have to do great things to accomplish that - just make use of the opportunities that come our way, no matter how small, given to us on a daily basis. 👍😉🙂😊

I live in my Gulfstream 36ft RV when I bought it pre-owned at that time the slide outs just became the next big thing. People were trading in RV's to get one with a slide out. The dealership could hardly give away a coach that didn't have one. I didn't want a slide out, I had my choice of a lot of different makes and models. I chose the Gulfstream Sunstream Hi Rise because I liked the storage under it. The color and it has a side isle and complete closed in bathroom. I have no intention of ever living in conventional housing again. I love the RV lifestyle.
