this was a really similar build to my first (and currently only) gold stake win. I was on spectral deck and got square joker, spare trousers, and ride the bus. I basically burned as many face cards from my deck and just played two pair until I was adding around +90 mult and +140 chips before any multipliers. it was awesome but god damn is gold stake hard

Sadly blueprint doesn't seem to double the mult upgrade itself on pants, it only gives the additive mult twice. There's a few places where I think it should synergize better - like triggering the chips upgrade on runner, which it doesn't do either; it only copies the added chips value. That would make it even stronger than it already is, but hey.. At least it worked with burnt joker!

Of course it doesn't double the upgrade. The upgrade effect targets the card. If the duplicate upgraded, it would upgrade *itself,* not the original - which would not matter, since next hand it'll be copying the new, higher value anyway. You can, for instance, have two _real_ copies of Pants with entirely different levels of upgrade!

@@macdjordI mean it'd be really sick if Blueprint did copy other Jokers' abilities to add Chips, Mult, or xMult and kept track of its own stats. Like, say, I copy Constellation with Blueprint before using a Planet, and the Blueprint now has a permanent x1.1 Mult, then if I copy Spare Trousers before playing a Two Pair, it then gains a permanent +2 Mult.

Yellow deck is the 1st and only deck ive won with on gold stake. The effect seems small but i think the extra gold is pretty huge compared to the other decks with simple effects

Why did the negative joker spectral card give -2 hand size? I thought it only gave -1, was it changed?

every additional ectoplasm is -1 more. So -1, -2, -3, -4, ... 3 Ectoplasms is -6 hand size (-1 + -2 + -3 = -6).

Ectoplasm costs n+1 hand size to use, where n is the times ectoplasm has been used. Likely done to prevent being able to get all of your best jokers negative with relatively low rng (unlike pretty much every other source of negative, which makes the negative joker you receive pretty random)
