Dude, nobody knows what screamo is. There are the people who think screaming is anything that have screaming in it. And then there are the people who hate those people and are like "SCREAMO DOESNT EXIST!!!!111!1!!!!1!1!!!" But really screamo does exist. It's also known as Scramz. Look up the bands orchid, Jerome's Dream, the saddest landscape and those bands. Anyway, this band is pretty alright.

I am not referring to metal. Screamo does exist. However, it is not metalcore. It is also known as Scramz. It is a subgenre of punk. The reason you have heard those bands is becuase you do not listen to screamo. You listen to metalcore. Screamo has nothing to do with metal. If you listen to metalcore, then go and listen to the song the sixth golden ticket by the saddest landscape, you will find that they are extremely different. That is because one is metalcore, and one is screamo. Screamo is a real genre. It just isn't what most people think it is. Most people call metalcore and deathcore screamo yet they are not. You are correct about that. But there is a such thing as screamo. And I rest my case.

I never called this screamo....? Why is everyone assuming I called this screamo? I can tell you for a fact that this isn't screamo. And listening to metal has nothing to doing with knowing about screamo. Screamo has nothing to do with metal except the fact that most people call metalcore and deathcore screamo. Screamo(Skramz) is a subgenre of punk that derives from emo but utilizes a lot more lofi and high pitched screams. Nowadays Metalcore and deathcore utilize more mid ranged screams with higher sound quality. This is also due to Skramz coming out of the 90's.

This is a masterpiece. You really mixed this well i have heard some people trying to blend dubstep and the "core" genres together but you are the first one that i have found that has nailed it on the head for me. On top of that you have some amazing dubstep tracks that remind me of why i fell in love with the genre! Very innivotive yet you have got that edm style mixed in and ugh my ears just orgasm.

Screamo generally consists of growls of a higher pitched tone. A lot of bands I listen to use both high pitched 'scream' growls, as well as deeper, much harsher growls in a duet type of thing. The two contrast well and make for some seriously good music. A good example of screamo would have to be 'The Webs I Weave' by metal core/screamo band 'Escape The Fate'. I hope this helped to broaden your understanding.
