Usually, you are not allowed to set the skorpion to semi auto in rainbow six vegas 1&2. If you hold down reload to bring up the menu, you can't change it. How ever, on PC there's a button for select fire that allows you to set it to semi auto, this is the result. So yea it's a bug they never fixed.

I never understood why this automatic pistol is considered a primary weapon in most games, but I guess a lot of it is holdover was the unwritten rule of balancing secondary weapons so they could never be automatic. These days there are quite a few auto sidearms in games but they make the bullet damage bad to compensate, which obviously doesn't apply in real life, but the Skorpion considers to be continues to be a primary weapon, it's model size in game especially makes it look like a full sized SMG when in reality its a small pistol.

I know this comment is 2 years old but I think the reason it's considered a primary weapon is probably because of it being a hybrid between an smg and a pistol, which would be considered a machine pistols, not big enough to be an smg but not small enough to be considered a pistol

3:43 CoD4’s Skorpion is the GOAT. Needs a suppressor though. That way you could pick people off before they even figured out where you were. It had no recoil or idle sway and was a 2 shot kill without Stopping Power up to around 3 meters. You could crossmap snipers with it on maps like Crossfire, Overgrown, Ambush, Pipeline, Bog, etc. This was back when CoD had unique weapons and interesting maps with long sightlines.

There are other versions of the Skorpion too. The Vz.61 is chambered for the piddly .32 ACP which is the least desirable caliber for a Skorpion. There are also the Vz.64, '65, '68, and '82 available in .380 ACP, 9mm Makarov, and 9mm Parabellum.
