I like how DJ Carlo almost always use controllers that are considered "cheap". So newbies don't say "they only do it because (artist's gear) was expensive".

it’s a shame tho that the buildup effect that martin garrix uses live is only available on the controllers with a time knob (unless Carlo can come up with a good alternative)

It's a musical concept called questions and answers and it is the core of the blues sound which eventually seeped its way into almost all contemporary music in the west

I don’t think its possible for it only be a concept of blues music in whatever time period your referencing. Call and response has always been used in music

Be good with looped phrases, like Daft Punk - Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger for example you could re-arrange the words if you had each one cued. 👍

If I could, I would use only the acapella for the 'response' and then have only the track's instrumental and drums on the other one so that I only affect the vocal C&R and maintain the flow/background of the music. That's just my preference, though. Thanks again, DJ Carlo!

@@djcarlo , call and response is a technique where one musician offers a phrase and a second player answers with a direct commentary or response to the offered phrase. So in this case or the example of skrillex its simply a "screw" since it lacks the "interaction" element.
