Seriously if you're painting mettalics you need vallejo metal color. That stuff actually looks like metal and it's pre thinned since it's an airbrush paint. So you can go straight from the bottle onto the model with a brush.

For a fun paint effect, try using a generic mother of pearl on their basecoat. I had a nice result playing around with that on GK's.

Mine are the custodes, they are the only ones I could afford And while now I have Astra militarum money, the not exactly humble custodes still hold a special place in my heart. I also quite like the gray nights they are the only Marine Army I actually like, seriously out of all the armies I hate only two and those are the necrons and all the space Marines armies. It's all down to aesthetics, You see I come from the cyberpunk red side of the board, so necrons just look like shity naked Borgs to me, and since I come from the halo and starcraft generation space Marines just look boring and Outdated compared to their more modern counterparts, And I don't mean in terms of paying jobs and such I mean like structurally from the bottom up specially when compared to designs made to exist on a 3D environment in high definition from the very beginning like the chief, and his mjolnir armour. And in terms of gameplay they just feel like infinitely weaker versions of my custodes.

I don't think Crowe's Purifying Flame should've gone off that turn. Teleport strike says to set up more than 9" away, and P flame has a 9" range, so he shouldn't have been able to reach that turn.

This game is a perfect example of two thing I don’t like in current 9th edition. Armor of Contempt just nullifies all of JTs shooting despite having a newer and better codex than 8th edition demons. And Tempest of War just bones JT out of score by random chance of objectives. For me Tempest is not fun to play. Id rather just pick three secondaries that I plan for.
