Around the 7 min mark, I love your perfectly proper response to the depiction of evil against the innocent. Your head is telling your arms it's just a music video and you're trying to listen to the music, but your arms just want to crush the evil. Maybe the video spoils enjoyment of the song, but maybe enjoying the song ignores the message.

I've loved Skunk Anansie since the 90's, still, chills like always. Also rroaches in a music video - it's when you know to pay attention. I love that gritty, dangerous sound and so many bands like that have thrown in the roaches 😂

Seen them twice. Skin rocks. Her voice is incredible.

She is absolutely amazing. I can't think of anyone who can match her.

Listened to them live in Portugal back in 2017/2018/2019 (not sure) in Vilar de Mouros! All i know is that they killed it with one of the best live concerts i've ever seen/listened

This is quite a slow track to get into as an initial intro to the band, not a heavy band but were often featured in the metal magazines at the time. most of the singles to concentrate on for reactions would prob be I Can Dream, Selling Jesus, Weep, All I Want, Weak, Charity, Twisted, Hedonism, Secretly. The first album was probably the best one

The first place I heard this song was in an episode of CSI. I had been searching for it for a long time then suddenly found it just a couple of years ago.

Its a tough intro to Skunk Anasie in some ways, well, with those lyrics mostly. Skin doesn't really hold back in her songwriting. Growing up i was into Skunk Anansie though - Skins voice is fantastic both singing sweetly then rising to a roar, but always she is in total control of it. I saw them live twice - once in a place in Liverpool supported by an up & coming 3 piece band called Muse (now approaching their 9th album and selling out stadiums - if you don't know them check them out), and once headlining the Glastonbury festival in 1999 where Skin became the first black artist, male or female, to headline. Great show but the videos on youtube from that are poor quality. Twisted was the song that got me into them but if you check out more from them maybe consider one of the live performances from the TV show "Later with Jools Holland" which have good quality audio - Anti-racist rock protest song We Don't Need Who you Are and the ballad Follow Me Down are both good.

They aren’t really able to fit in a genre. They go a little of everything, especially from this album onwards. If you like her voice, check out their ballads.

And how did you do that to the sound ? That’s impressive copyright avoidance.

Thanks for commenting! Any ballads in mind that I should check out? As far as copyright avoidance, every video I’ve done has a copyright claim. I can still post, I just can’t monetize.
