After watching many videos looking for instruction explained this well and comfortable to perform as a male, this quickly became my fave source. She is chill, funny, knowledgeable, and even gives you the name of the positions. I'm beyond instantly hooked on this channel.

Hola Hermana! I was looking for some inspiration for tomorrow's class. Ty!! You know how I like to name poses .) A couple suggestions for the last pose you brewed up. You might use these names for other poses. when you place the knee in and end up reaching to the side- Sky Scraper . then when you add on and bring the leg

opps I hit send ... when you bring the leg up and cross it over and climb- spiderman. . drop- leaping spiderman xo

Dang that hurt 😂 is there any way to do it minus the pain or do you just get used to it? Sorry I'm a beginner:)
@YogawithAliBeale4 жыл бұрын
Yes Yes usually after 2-3 week you will just feel pressure but not pain. First class I was like um.... no way this will never not hurt. Also wear thicker pants it really help. Now I am a certified hammock teacher!

After some time you find your sweet spot on where to place the fabric on the body and u learn to support yourself with the arms to lessen the shock of the drop. The type of fabric is important too because if there is too much elasticity it tends to cause more pain as it tight end around the body

What's the distinction from sky yoga and aerial yoga? I regularly practice what I know as aerial yoga, but I'm curious
@AcaciaJadeYoga4 жыл бұрын
Sky yoga is a brand name of aerial yoga. We are more focused on alignment and adjustments in group classes while combining the acrobatic play of aerial yoga ❤️

How tall are your ceilings ?
@AcaciaJadeYoga3 жыл бұрын
My hammock is hung at approx 3 meters. To be honest I would love to have higher ceilings because I'm double knotting each side of my hammock and there are some moves I can't do in my home because I just don't have enough space. I think 4 meters would be perfect!

The first one really hurts my ankles im not sure why, do you know what im doing wrong?
@zadahoven4 жыл бұрын
Most of the poses for the silks hurt either your ankles or legs so I don’t think your doing anything wrong, it just hurts in general.
@AcaciaJadeYoga3 жыл бұрын
First I need to ask. Is it muscle pain or from the pressure of the fabric? Start by checking your alignment and be sure your toes are pointed to the ground rather than forward when you enter the fabric. If the alignment of the feet is good and its the pressure of the fabric you probably just need to build up your tolerance to the fabric. You can overcome some of the discomfort by wearing socks for a few weeks while you practice. Let me know what type of pain/ pressure ur feeling and how this goes
