Sky Glass | Some Informations, my thoughts & Problems we have encountered with it

Have you considered getting the Sky Glass TV? Or do you have it, if so what colour and size did you get it in?

Just got the 43" myself but not sure if i like it as i think we have lost the +1 opp, unless its just me and cant find it, still trying to get used to finding all the channels not had any problems with it tuning off as yet

The turning off probably does seem to have stopped since filming this and it does take a little getting use to

I was considering Sky Glass but opted for a better quality 4k TV panel instead, that has all the streaming services (except SKY of course but it does have NOW TV, which is basically sky) built in. For now I still have sky via a dish but will wait and see when SKY release the Sky Glass Puck on it's own and decide whether to get that or just drop SKY altogether. At least that way I have the option of SKY Glass on a better TV panel of my choosing. The SKY Glass TV is a problem now as it will be a year old soon, and with new and better TV panels coming out every year, will get old very quickly. By October this year there is absolutely no way anyone would be paying the same price for that panel as they did last October, it just doesn't make sense. An equvalent or better TV panel would have dropped £300 to £400 pounds in a year. If you are buying the SKY Glass TV on the 4 year finance you are locked in to paying for something that will be so outdated in 4 years time.

I drove myself crazy between sky glass and new qled,after a lot of research i fecided i did not want a cheap Philips Qled so bought a Samsung Neo Qled.

None of the colours cost you anything extra - they are all the same price - its the size that will cost differently. The puck is fee.

Hi, great review. Shame you had internet issues, it could be related to the modem router, I've had no problems with Sky Glass reception so far. It's a great piece of kit, the only gripe is ITV Hub app, too many long ads, which isn't related to Sky Glass. Thanks.

Hi and thank you, the internet issues seems to have fixed themselves thankfully, we did get our sky glass not long after they were released so might just been a connection bug that they fixed as the customer services was always great when we spoke to them

Have you asked sky for another tv? We have had 3 tv's from sky and one issue was the not connected to modem even tho it was Ethernet. So ask for a swap out

@@Gabby_thomson95 just bear in mind they will take through a a few things to try and get you up and running imcluding total restart of the tv but each time it messes up phone them. It can be a faff

Sky glass is absolutely terrible £1300 and sky ripped up my agreement as I’m Muslim and made me pay in one week they accused me of being an extremist because I changed my name , Cassius clay 🥊 changed his name , ignorant small minded bunch of bigots and for this much I could of got an OLED and for gaming it’s terrible , the volume control never worked right the software is terrible and the picture is bad and theHDR on the hdmi doesn’t work and the input lag is terrible it’s just so bad in every way except maybe the speakers and sound , oh and it developed light bleed after four weeks

I’ve had this tv for nearly a year now. The sound is excellent but it’s absolutely terrible for gaming. No game mode whatsoever

Had no problem with the games I play on PlayStation 4 but not a serious gamer so understand this probably isn’t a gamer tv

Did you really pay for this heavy unreliable tv, antiquated , can’t record and uses a screen that is now using ten year old technology. Send it back while you still can, this is just Sky getting you to sign up for months on a contract, seems like a poor experience and I think you have been taken in by the Sky hype, a walk round Curry’s will show you that you have made a very poor choice im afraid

other than the couple of problems I have mentioned in the video which haven't happened since we haven't had any real issues... I went this route as it was the most convenient way to go for me at the time and have found SKY itself the most reliable as I have been with Talktalk, virgin, and other tv providers before with no end of issues, but thank you for your comment and advice and when ready to move on, as I'm unsure if staying with sky is a permanent thing, I will keep that information in mind.

I have a 3000 euro tv in my sitting room with 8K all smart options with current best tech in my sitting room… and the sky glass in my bedroom and genuinely does a perfect job. Picture isn’t as clear obviously but it’s perfect and sound is good
