Fun fact: Disney planned to make a series following the event of this movie, they even had the main kid cast sign on to do the series when they signed in for the movie. But a disappointing box office made them cancel those plans. Though years later through reairings on the Disney Channel the movie grew an audience and became a cult classic

The sequel would have been titled Save U (Save University) and featured the characters from Sky High graduating from high school and attending college. In March 2024, Sky High director Mike Mitchell still expressed interest in a sequel, but pointed out that since Disney bought Marvel, they only see them as their superhero output. He has stated that he would like to do a Sky High inspired project set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

I just think its so interesting that Disney produced two superhero films in this and the incredibles that were pointed commentaries on the american school system. Sky High is a little more direct in its commentary than the incredibles but they make the same point. You do no service to students if you're not cultivating their talents no matter what those talents are.
