They arent named Sky Striker because in the manga Sky Strikers are humans. So Raye, Rose, Azalea etc. Rayes weapons are the mecha series of cards with the links being her armor changes. And most of the new stuff is just stuff thats in the manga thats in the sky striker world but arent used as a weapon or armor for Raye

Basically the girls are the Sky Striker Aces along with the different link monsters being armors they transform into, Rayes Stuff is the OG cards like afterburners, hornet drones etc all being the different tools or events Raye's side used to battle the enemies in the manga. The later half of the manga starts after Linkage and the stuff thats printed now is the new stuff that happens in the later part of the manga Like Azalea being a new character and the other cards being weapons for the antagonists after Raye and Rose settled their fight and nothing of it is related to Raye cuz she never gets any new upgrades at this point which is probably why they didnt add the Sky Striker Tag to their card names@@xCorvus7x

I guess the link 2 is great. Technically linkage/raye acts as an imperm. For them to actually be back they need 1 good power spell e.g sets mutlirole from deck + fills graveyard with spells Or the most obvious one. Stop printing links that say have to be linked. Let them be able to get cheated out with linkage. Not even talking about link 3-4s(not like it matters) even the link 2s would be good enough.

Yeah if linkage and raye counted as a link summon. The deck would be great Azeala would stop floodgates easily and replace kaina somewhat. A spot banish is good. The new link 2 does have to many restrictions cant be linked and the 2500 atk.

@@GuessWhatHappened1 agreed. But I doubt Konami would want to print broken brandish cards and have a resurgence of the old t1 deck, hence all the weird restrictions. Brandish is a toolbox deck that has everything except removal during opponents turn. I dont think they are gonna make a quick play removal spell, cuz it’s just gonna shit on burner jamming. But I’ve always said, just 1 good light link + 1 power spell is all we need.

OCG tier is by representation. Not by wins. But Fire king won YCS MAster duel and won biggest tourney so far in China. RACE beat it by 3 players so really, Fire king best deck in Japan

It's not just Raigeki, it also negates the effect of one monster, so it can get rid of, or bait, one of your opponent's negates making them have less tools to stop the Raigeki.

I just realized, the reason most of the new links can't be cheated out with raye/linkage is because they are not Raye herself. The new link 2 is Raye (+roze) so you can do it. Pretty cool lore reason I guess. Anyways, at this point I'm just hoping that there's still one more card at least. We haven't seen Adhilsaber from the manga yet. Also engage to 3 when.

In regards to the Fire King statements: in the current TCG environment, the deck is more than capable or breaking into top cuts and being a threat to watch out for. Bonfire, the new Snake Eye, and the Link 3 will push it into top tier, but even without those I can see it having lots of representation in top cut at YCS's

The Japanese version of "Sky Striker Ace" translates to "Flash Sword Princess," and the new cards are CLEARLY not sword wielding girls. Obviously, they only had Raye in mind when they first made the archetype.

Yeah they kinda went off-track with literally all the Striker support after Roze. They introduced so many anti-synergistic useless monsters in a spell-based deck that makes you wonder why even bother to print them in the first place. If you want to make a recent archetype good again, you only need a couple cards to bring it up to speed with the current game. Look at how they treated Unchained. They gave them 3 very good cards and that is all the deck needed.

Against Fire King deck it does look like just standard Sky Striker play before the support but a little bit better, it is true but keep in mind they got Droll'd twice in 2 games and still manage to kinda survive and also even won on the 3rd game. We all know droll is very huge against sky striker because we cant search removal and have card advantage. But now we can possibly break a board little bit better without even searching any spell with new link support, and then use the engage to set up negates for the following crackback.

Sky Striker in 2024 become combo deck with the same gimmick, "Target 1 "Sky Striker" Normal or Quick-play Spell in your GY; apply that target's effect, then banish that target."

That first and last card is what Sky Strikers need. It’s just Roze has very niche interactions on board and in grave and Raye does all the heavy lifting. Called by the Grave, D.D. Crow, and Bystial ruins this deck if it hits Raye which is why it needs cyanos to pivot into Roze. BUT they still need power bc the strongest they can get is about 2500 imho

It feels like they want to make striker a toolbox type deck but almost all if not all in archetype which is cool. I enjoy the toolbox style gameplay more than full steam ahead I’m gonna do my one combo no matter what gameplay.

i feel inherent problem in this deck - we need to open spell cards, but they will keep adding main gimmick - links in extra decks.. but extra deck is only 15 cards, and not really lot of avalaible space

not really, its a hard OPT idk why you need to dupe for 3 link fodders when normal summoning cyanos already is 3 link fodders, your machine locked so theres no really good link 3 or 4 you can make outside of the archetype, nor is there a rank 1 xyz machine you would make.

That link 2 looks very interesting, I can see it being very good in Spright variants (especially my Cydra Spright list that has a lot of LIGHT/DARK monsters in its engine). There will be some testing done with it for sure.

Raye summon Hayate, BP crash, send Roze, Raye summon back, Raye eff summon engage zero, engage zero swing and nuke. MP2 summon Red, overlay for Gigantic Spright? I'm trying to make it better, but this could genuinely be a better going second option than Zeus.

Camellia and Engage Zero are very good support for Sky Striker, S.P.E.C.T.R.A and the other ones arent really good, the payoff is too little. Especially S.P.E.C.T.R.A is a card that would be better in Non - Sky Stiker decks but is too punishing within Sky Striker. I mean i like the trade and ressource management behind that card but with everything going on in Strikers, it's too much. Cyanos is ok but if you special summon it, you can't use your Sky Striker spells if your opponent activates a effect in respons to that monsters summoning. Because it is in your main monster zone, for going first it's not bad because you can bait Ash with it but if you have no follow up to that, you locked yourself. I would rather like a card that either allows you to refund your Ace Monsters or gives your banished cards back than S.P.E.C.T.R.A would be a better fit for that deck. Or i olso would like more support that gives you different resoults based on the Ace monster that are in you GY or the order in which you played them. So far the best support for Sky Striker still is the Bamboo engine.

There are only 4 Sky Strikers. Raye is the OG, Roze which is Raye's clone, Azalea and Camellia which are Roze's clone. All other support cards are robots.

how does raye alone get to the link 2? if you crash with hayate then send roze to GY special summon raye then use raye QE don't you still need another body? raye can jump into link 2 mechs? I thought her quick effect only lets her jump into link 1"s?

You can special summon engage zero. Other sky striker link 2s have the restriction that they must be link summoned and can't be summoned via Raye because she special summons (not link summons). Engage zero doesn't need to be link summoned, thus, you can do the rayegeki combo.

The reason why Raye can go into Hayate, Kagari and Shizuku is because they're all armor pieces which Raye can transform into in the manga. Obviously she can't turn into Azalea and Camellia since they're different people (and have to be link summoned). Engage Zero is a combo attack of Raye and Roze and that's why Raye will be able to summon it.

You can’t summon rose from the grave if green is destroyed. You can only summon rose if your opponent monster from the EMZ is destroyed. So that combo with the link 2 can’t work in the battle phase. You will play the lvl 1 as a 1 at most. It’s a card you want to search not open with to push or make the link 3.

Issue is that these monsters are pretty mid and not worth playing over regular Sky Striker decks. Rose was fine but all the other main deck monsters are pretty worthless who only exist because of Manga.
