I went to this fancy restaurant once. I ordered some tomato soup and when the waiter went back to the kitchen I could hear a pan being thrown against a wall and the chef screaming. After waiting for an entire hour he came out to me with a Wendys Baconator and kept saying "fresh never frozen" over and over again while watching me eat it. I will never be going back. 5 stars.

That was my initial thought too, especially because this game was made in Unity. I'm guessing that any object that doesn't get put in the trash can is still considered an active physics object.

After a while objects go into a "sleep" state where their physics aren't calculated only a broadphase to check if anything around them has changed for them to wake back up. Though it is possible jerma going nearby often was keeping them awake.

The bottles and plates breaking is 95% of what makes the game fun to watch and Jerma knows it. He also could have used all his counter space for the day old soups, but leaving them on the floor is much funnier. The man isn't going to sabotage his own 8 hour long comedy act.
