That converse store is a legit store from what I remembered. They carry past season shoes with a discount. Usually those fake brands will not have a signboard with a brand. The penalty is quite steep if caught

Please don't assume that just because some international brands being sold in Asia are counterfeit. Those that that are being sold at malls and shops are genuine. Just because it may be cheaper than in the west doesn't mean its counterfeit. The brands might have factory in Asia. Some countries may be lacking in enforcement or weak laws while others have strong copyright/trademark protection law. Please don't generalize everywhere as the same.

If the shop name is of a particular brand name eg converse or adidas or gucci, prada AND the shop is situated in a big mall ,THEN their product are genuine as they are authourised dealer. Fake are usually found sold by street vendor such as at petaling street

For us Malaysians, Times Square is kind of like the old mall. Used to be a so hyped high end mall for high end brands when we were teenagers in 2010s era, but now people go there maybe just for the theme park. And the brands just downgraded to just random clothing shops.
