really would've liked to see visuals of the skylanders in each wave rather than just gameplay the whole time. its very hard for me to process stuff that's not shown to me

To this day I’m still upset that I once saw spotlight at a Best Buy with my brother, we wanted it so bad but we were with our neighbor who was babysitting us so we didn’t want to ask for it. Even worse I had $20 my grandma gave me, but I left it at home cuz I thought we’d spend the day at the neighbors house. And then years later it became really rare. Youch!

Can confirm, Gearshift was in fact Wave 1, but at least to my recollection, in a very odd way. See, I vividly remember getting an email in the lead-up to Trap Team that GameStop was doing some kind of promotion (it might’ve been pre-order, idk) where if you participated, you would get a Gearshift figure.

When i was younger when these guys were still coming out, my family knew someone who worked in one of the stores that sold skylanders, and they would give us a call when new stuff came out, they sometimes were even able to set aside some of the new stuff for us so we'd get a chance to get the new ones before they were all gone, this was so helpful to build our collection We ended up getting the light and dark adventure packs like a week before they started stocking officially on the shelves It's probably good they did waves, the bank accountssl of people who want to get them all would not survive 😅

I remember waiting for the ability breakdown video for double dare trigger happy from a yter i watched back then, only for him to never make one, because he was so rare in Germany. I remember searching for days about an abilities video for him, snd not being able to find one

I remember Wild Storm's release being pretty interesting. IIRC he was supposed to release mid-march, but they posted a statement saying a warehouse/port they needed for distribution had flooded, so the release was delayed about a month in most areas.

I’m pretty sure Wave 2 of Trap Team came out same day as Wave 1. That or my local Toys R Us just went screw it and put em on the shelf with everything else lol.

Plus if I remember correctly Superchargers Wave 2 was meant to do the same thing but ended up being delayed due to the whole Nightfall Incident (none of the Nightfall figures worked at launch and they had to recall the whole wave to fix it) I remember this mainly bc High Volt was my favorite Supercharger by far and I really wanted him day 1.

I remember seeing waves 4 and 5 mixed together with the singles coming out much earlier then the adventure packs and then those came out together, I still remember spending buying the Robow one while my dad bought the Wild Storm one.

I remember being so happy as a kid when I got Doom Stone as a gift for a wedding when I was little I didn’t even care for the wedding it was just getting the last swapper I needed and I’m so shocked that he is like £20 or even £30 these days, Trap team I had so little trap masters as I only had Snap shot, jaw breaker, my fav trap master wallop and head long rush as she was the only one left in stores at the time I was able to buy a new trap master lol however I’m on the after market buying each element of trap masters I don’t own

24:32 I can’t tell you for an objective fact that is a lie. I got Kaos a day or so after the game came out, just him and a light creation crystal. My brother already had the game so that’s how I played it at first. I still have the box and everything. The only time I’ve ever seen Kaos in stores was in GameStop and it’s the one I owns it was the only Kaos there. I almost got Krankcase but I figured Kaos would be more expensive later on so I got him instead. (Still don’t have Krankcase though, I have Robow, Wild Storm, but not the Dr.)

Yes gear shift was a wave one trap Team Skylander you could pre-order her at GameStop with the starter pack cuz that's what I did and superchargers had the weirdest dates when it came to releasing stuff mostly because the few Skylanders were recall due to defects or issues with a trip was falling out something like that so some earlier waves gone just ended up being late wave

Thrillepede I honestly don't think was ever released in the US that I can tell besides his Easter variant I got my regular one from a game store in the UK when it got here the box looked like it had been used for a soccer ball but the figure was perfectly fine so I was happy
