Growing up in Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 in the 80's & 90's, you would see the four door R30 often. I distinctly remember them for the word "Skyline" written across the back just above the numberplate and the circular rear lights inside the square clusters. Skylines looked cooler than the Datsun Bluebirds and Toyota Cressidas that were everywhere in Harare at the time.

Should totally cover the Nissan 300zx (Z31) it came with a total of 6 different engines including the rb20det which makes it also the last z car with an in-line 6 engine. 3 different roof options, came in a two seater and a 2+2. The sohc VG while not the most sophisticated engine, can handle over 500hp on stock internals and cane be found in any junk yard.

I personally think the R33 is my personal favorite. Between it’s inclusion in Gran Turismo 3, the look of the rear, the planted stance and the sheer dumpability of these things I’ll forever be a lifetime R33 fan. Absolute legend of a car.

The R35 is the G35's successor it's called the V35 Skyline in Japan. A G35 with a Skyline badge called the V35 and it has minor changes to the body styling and design. It's only in Japan.

0:48 Actually you forget one generation that put skyline on the map of racing.S50 skyline (second gen) that it's the origin why skyline was so iconic in the touring race and the pedigree that led the GTR was born later in c10.S54 (s50 skyline has so many variant,s50 was the basic,s57 was the luxury one,and the s54 was the high performance ones) skyline to be exact was debut in 1964 japanese grand prix and can keep up with Porsche 904 and get 2nd place (podium) in that race after that people see that skyline was potential in a race for the first time ever after that debut.

I love at the end when you said that the r35 is a super car, where the skylines were sports cars, truer words have never been spoken. A lot of people say the R35 GTR isn’t a Super Car, and that’s just hate keeping hateraid…. It’s totally a Super car and like the Skylines before it being “Super car killers” the r35 can at times be hyper car killers!!!

It’s still a super car killer. IMO a super car has to be limited production and luxurious and have performance to back it up, super fast, super luxurious, super hard to get = super car. the R35 isn’t necessarily the most luxurious car. And relatively obtainable (at least they were). However you get super car performance for way less of the price. Making it a super car killer.

Driver focused with less features. Still has been and always will be next to impossible to obtain one. But if performance was the only thing that made it a super car then a hellcat or even a laptop civic would be a supercar

If you ever have questions as to how a certain model classes their chassis codes just come here and ask.....ill help ya out. Even the smallest of platforms such as the mazdaspeed 3 have them. Bk for 2006-2009 and Bl for 2010-2013. Subaru has them GC for 2001 and earlier impreza then different for every generation after that etc......

The 1st gen Q60 was a renamed G37. It in itself was a V36. The 2nd Q60 was a Q50 coupe. Technically it was a Skyline Coupe even though it wasn't called it due to it continuing the Skyline Coupe legacy and it being a coupe version of the Q50.

But that’s exactly what they are. Nissan Skylines. The only exception is the second generation Q60 coupe, which while it’s built alongside the Q50/V37 Skyline sedan, is not sold officially in Japan. Nissan decided to not introduce a Nissan Skyline coupe variant for some reason in the region, that however hasn’t stopped people from coming to the US, buying a Q60 coupe and importing it back to Japan
