Katherine Mary Knight (born 24 October 1955) is the first Australian woman to be sentenced to life imprisonment without parole. She was convicted for the murder of her partner, John Charles Thomas Price, in October 2001, and is currently imprisoned at the Silverwater Women's Correctional Centre in New South Wales. Knight stabbed Price to death, skinned him, then put his skin on a meat hook and cooked his head and parts of his body with the intention of feeding them to his children. -Wikipedia

Absofuckinglutely! How anyone can not hear, see, and feel the overwhelming merit and worth in this style of artistic expression is yet another sign that the conventional music world (and the artistic world as a whole) is so stuck in a decades long past agreement to only accept and allow conventional forms of art that fit within the traditional worldview of the status quo. Shutting out or attempting to devalue anything that isn’t willing to conform. This band is amazing, and without the internet I don’t know how they would have been able to practice their talents to the outstanding level they are at today. Fucking wow! Please keep making music with so much genuine love of what you’re doing. So hauntingly beautiful, terrifyingly dark, and emotionally raw. And let us know how to find you, I’ve heard you’re mind-blowing live!

its what takes it from goreporn to actually meaning something. like this shit is masterfull storytelling through the combination of masterful music writing. And then, coupled with, as you said the videos. That are so well made. it's shows an appreciation of the gravity of what they are dealing with. and they aren't just doing it for shock value.

Mmmmmm idk about that. She actually killed him with a cleaver and blood spatter evidence shows he made it down the hallway on his feet and collapsed in the living room where she beheaded him. I do love the song tho it’s very appropriate to the video and disorients you. Sometimes details are changed for the sake of melodrama and that’s alright.

@divinefallfromgrace 4 жыл бұрын
@@tldhaley Very well researched ma'am! And Gary M. Heidnik didn't pick on white girls, he picked on black girls, usually those with learning difficulties or mental health issues. And Jennie Vincow, Ramirez' second victim (officially), wasn't a young, pretty redhead, she was a 79-yr-old grandmother. Some dramatic license is used, but, yeah, there's lots of detail nonetheless. 🙂

I was expecting so much more in this video. Holy shit, I pictured it that in the first half of the song they show a bit of background related to Kathrine, her other relationships and Price. (Somewhat Check ✅) 2:37 I envisioned that they will show that Kathrine and Price had sex (well ,,, guess its not that bad that they missed that ❌) And obviously as the song becomes twisted 2:46 she stands next to him as he is sleeping and starts stabbing him (Nice, got that right ✅) Then he tries to get away from her in the hallway (Sweet ! that was also there ✅) Now here is where the Video missed the mark "He managed to open the front door and get outside, but either stumbled back inside or was dragged back into the hallway" ❌ "Knight skinned him" ❌ "She then decapitated Price" ❌ 4:51 The kitchen and the food and then also "Knight had left a handwritten note on top of a photograph of Price. Bloodstained and covered with small pieces of flesh" (they didnt even have to show what the note said, People that was interested would have done research) 5:33 I was honest to god waiting for the skin that was hanging on the Meat hook The Skinning and the Skin was the most insane part of Kathrine Knight and the video missed all of it. Great song but missed opportunities with the Music video.

I saw SKYND a week ago as a support act of BABYMETAL and did my research on them before - because I like to know who is going to play that evening, so I checked the vids and their appearance, tried hard to get some background info which wasn't as easy as on many other bands who want to express themselves as much as they can. SKYND is just not telling where they are from, who they really are and all this stuff... The just let the whole art in their music and the visuals talk for itself.. They are like observer of the cases they write music and lyrics for and about. I always loved these 'other kind of bands who just do it their way and let art and show speak. That's why I am fascinated of bands like RAMMSTEIN, BABYMETAL, HEILUNG and now SKYND because all of them are 100% them and not a copy, not even that they planned and expected that success they all experience all of a sudden. I called myself lucky when I discovered the SKYND-doll in their tour-bus a week ago and were lucky to hold it in my hand to make a picture. The gig just only confirmed my excitement and since then I call myself lucky to be a driver who can listen the whole day to SKYND on maximum volume. I am so stunned of this band that I feel like a teenager The acting and voice (-changes) of her (SKYND) and the background of SKYND-father - though he wears that mask and is mostly in the dark, he is still so present especially live when he hammers on that drums and does this electric sound stuff. Especially the sound I love SKYND's work in research and that they do all these hints and details in videos, sounds and lyrics... I never get tired of finding out more.... An interview in the german gothic magazine ORKUS convinces me that SKYND is far away from glorifying murder but just observes and tells about the dark (mysterious) side of human kind, a darkness which (could) sleep (more or less) in everyone of us. Thank you SKYND for being true and yourself and authentic. A new fan.

Here in Mexico, it's a whole different story. I mean, we barely get one or two english speaking bands/groups in about a year (not counting electronic music), let alone a japanese metal group formed by young women, that's never going to happen. I will end it forever !!!! And every woman before me can then be free to come forward and they will. He will pay dearly in jail forever .... And then the rest will be history. !!!! The impact the song's climax has due to it, is simply outstanding. The overly analytical part of me wonders if it's a musical representation of the knife, and what the woman in the titled did with it.

Why am I just now finding out about this band? I absolutely LOVE the theme you've chosen to address. Doubt my comment would ever be seen, but based on the style you do for videos, I'd love to see one on the Papin sisters. Some gruesome stuff in that story. Subscribed.

SKYND I applaud your visual story telling skills. It really depicts how troubled Katherine Knight was and shows an imminent threat lurking in their home that still grips you, even if you already know how the story is going to end. Was really looking forward to seeing how you'd put it together and wasn't disappointed. Keep up the amazing work! ❤

This song perfectly describes how i feel after dating a narcissist. I hate them for how they abused me but I'm trauma bonded and I still love them so much. I miss the "sweet"person they were and promise to always be in the beginning. Think i might have cptsd/bpd.

I listened to your songs for the first time when you were in Denmark and were a support band for babymetal. When I heard your songs and your intros, it fascinated me that you have your own interpretation of those murders and what went through their head. You take that to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL. Without you performing in Denmark I would not have heard your amazing music. FUN FACT. In danish Skynd means two things: 1. Skynd is the name of a troll in a Danish fairy tale. 2. To hurry up. I loved it! I thought at first you were danish XD

I have seen them in Hamburg last weekend and was a little confused first because of the voice. But now I would call myself a fan, probably wouldn't have found em without Babymetal and glad they were there. I wonder if Babymetal and Skynd like each other's music as well.

Only just discovering your work and it's simply mind blowing. As a artist myself and a long time student of serial killers, I find your work both fascinating and horrific in the best possible way in help people not only never forget the range of madness and emotion goes into these crimes. Thank you for giving the world something truly unique and outside the box in a world where so much in place in little boxes...I tip my hat to you...
