UK town cancels NYE fireworks to protect visiting walrus

A surprise visit from an Arctic walrus has disrupted plans for firework displays in the northern town of Scarborough in the United Kingdom.
The animal, nicknamed ‘Thor’, had previously been spotted earlier this month along the country's coastline, but now its whereabouts remains a mystery.
