Whenever i watch Slater's vlog showing his house, hindi ko na fefeel na nagyayabang sya. He always inspire and inform people the dos and donts just im case you want to build your future home. It's just the question of how much your budget is. Kulang nalang zombie proof house na ang skypod. 😅

Seriously, this is the most educational vlog, not to mention FREE. Every homeowner needs to watch this. I’m more impressed with Slater now because their house survived the typhoon. So we all know that the houses that he will build and sell in the future can survive typhoons like odette.

why not build a 2nd floor if you're gonna have additional rooms? especially baby # 2 is on the way or probably more babies in the future. ya gonna need a lot more space

Greenhouse na si Skypod! 👌🌱 Content suggestion sir Slater 😊: Pagdating po sa aesthetics ng bahay lalo na sa facade, can you give tips po on how and wha to do sa mga aircons, spouts atbp (plumbing at wirings) na hindi macompromise ang looks and design ng bahay? Para sa iba hindi big deal pero malaking bagay kung nakatago at maayos ang layouts nito. Kakain kasi sya ng space kaya dapat nakaplano din. Thanks.

The typhoon strength where I live can blow off the entire roof of the house. We feel safer knowing the roof is concrete which is a common built here. Some will have a certain portion of the house only, serves as a bunker during bad typhoon.

Good thing I am not alone in the idea of securing windows with safety film. I used 4 mil safety window films to strengthen my window glass and made them more secure during typhoons. Just needed a squeegee and a spray bottle of soap and water to DIY the installation myself.

Excited for the future house proofing contents Sir, after Odette I realized that our usual pre storm preparation is not enough. Dapat we can sustain if walang basic resources for at least a month. Food, water, electricity, cash, and more. Lessons learned, I think we can prepare better in case but simbako palayo lang.

I like watching your videos kasi very educational and explained in such a way (layman's terms) non engineers can understand. Babae ako but I grew up having my Dad's love for DIY and construction. I got a question though, my husband said, color roof or the roof you have right now should be tex screwed on the flat part of the metal beside the ribs. Its like that in the US. Great house location! Love the surrounding hills. I'm an amateur astronomer. I bet you have clear night skies most of the time. You realise after Building for the frost time, your need a serviceable home. I made lots of mistakes but I’m a little older and already renovated five houses before building my modern house in the UK. A few things I’ve notice that there are no m/e service shafts or m/e dedicated rooms. I had a m/e technical engineer on my build. My house was a Uber modernist house 700 sqm. Also is very much worth employing a a QS. Good to see the journey. I will be employing new innovative ideas on my modern house in Subic I will be building.

BTW, like you, I too have been tinkering with solar power. A DIYer, so to speak. I have mine set up more like yours but I opted for off grid config. It's more of a curiosity than it is a practicality considering I live in the Northern hemisphere. Power generation in the winter months is just not sufficient since we have very short daylight during the cold months. So, it looks like I have to shelve this project. I'm looking in to the "nuke" option of my own. Granting of course that the Lords of Technology and Gods of Warranty will go along with it. 😀 You have a great day, buddy!

New potential subscriber here, I find your videos very educational and entertaining and as a bilingual person I understand how easy it is to switch to your native language without even realizing it. HOWEVER, this creates a big disconnect with your international audience since a lot of information is lost particularly when English subtitles are not included. I think this is the only thing holding you back from hitting 10 or 100 million subscribers even though your content is great and has an international appeal. Please consider sticking to English or CONSISTENTLY add English subs titles whenever you’re conveying information in a different language
