Skyrider One - Very First Flight of the Electric Scooter & Paraglider

Skyrider One is the first prototype of an electric scooter, which is also an electric paraglider. It is the easiest way, to have something like a flying car. You can drive to your airstrip, fly to somewhere, and drive home after landing. With all electric drive, it is quiet and does'nt make any pollution. It can be used in areas, where combustion engines are not allowed. And two wheels are enough, no need for more. Take off and landing is easy with some help of your feet.
Flying in thermals is possible and can increase the endurance up to several hours. Enjoy the beautyful landscapes of La Palma (Canary Islands).

Nice invention. I can see the future when the controls were integrated into the steering and power attached to both the scooter and fan as a backup. The parachute can deploy from a trunk. This is great. i want one.

Anything extreme tried for the first time is incredibly exciting and terrifying at the same time! The first time I purposely stalled an airplane it completely freaked me out! I had an adrenaline high for hours!

Ich "liebe" diese verkappten Tonregisseure, welche es für ihre Pflicht erachten, Technik-Videos in musikalische Gülle zu tunken. Gerne, hätte ich ein Paar Originalgeräusche gehört. Hätte ich aber, gerne Musik gehabt, hätte ich sicher danach gesucht und hätte auch sicher was, zu meinem Geschmack Passendes, gefunden. Ihr seid alle Abstossend. Der Eindruck, den ihr da mit euren "musikalischen Untermalungen" hinterlasst, ist mit dem eines lauten Furzes während einer Besprechung gleichzusetzen. Mich regt es deshalb so auf, weil diese "musikalische Pest" um sich greift. Es gibt kaum noch ein Sachvideo, ohne Musik. Musik aber, ist Stil und Geschmackssache - Technik hingegen, ist objektiv bewertbar.

Ain't it something to think that this is all the Wright Brothers (bicycle makers) had to do with a 2 cycle engine, wooden propellors, bamboo rods and a glide chute of fabric. They would have their prototype right there. But the big bulky ass Kittyhawk was the result.

+pinkdispatcher The idea is, to use the propeller only to get into the air and find some thermals. Then you can fly for hours. And if you loose too much altitude, you can go up again with the motor.

This is nice because it provides the transportation to and from the launch and landing sites. Is the motor cycle electric also? What is the range of the cycle? How long can the paramotor run? He launched from a hill. However, I presume with a motor, he could launch from the flat valley.

Thomas: I wish you would have shown an external view upon landing. it looked a bit sketchy, when nearing the ground, with those good size rocks in the shingle, or gravel. of course you had a helmet. I saw upon launch a lot of twisting back and forth, and a small plunge after about 50 ft. so you laughed after it straightened out. good on you sir, this is a very viable launch and retrieval system. I doubt seriously you could take off as easy on that surface by the water, but those tires may float more than I think.
