This is a game you have to play slowly. I like to wander from town to town seeing who I can help and leaving the bigger picture main quest stuff for when that grows tiring. The game is at its best when you take it slow and really take in the world and the atmosphere. Travel by day, go to Inns at night, stock up on potions and food, then move on to the next town or area. It’s an action adventure open-world, but it’s very story driven so it’s best to immerse yourself in the world and it’s stories. Most recent play through took me like 145 hours, and that’s just the main game. I hope you enjoy it! And yes there are a few different endings. There are minor choices and then bigger choices that affect who lives and who dies.

Welcome to the world of the Witcher! For starters, I think both dlcs can be started almost anytime during the game, but I think there is a level recommendation. I highly suggest (once you've leveled enough) start with Hearts of Stone. I think Blood and Wine works best once you're done with the main story of the main game, but it's up to you.
@SerLoinSteak10 ай бұрын
One of my favorite things about The Witcher is that there are often degrees of monsters. Like vampires are divided into Lesser and Higher vampires. Lesser vampires are your bloodthirsty bat beasts while higher vampires are the ones that can appear human and then transform into monstrous forms, and the highest form of vampires are effectively immortal unless killed by another vampire or the sun. And then there are subspecies of vampires like the Bruxa in the trailer where Geralt was bit in the barn. But then you have your monsters that come from curses like werewolves or noonwraiths. I highly recommend learning about the world of the Witcher because between the books and the games, it's a very well fleshed out universe

Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077, both game requires tons of attention to the world and the lore around it (letters in Witcher and shards in Cyberpunk). Hearing conversations between npcs in the quiet alley or eaves dropping on the enemies would make you understand the game whats and whys so much better. Few youtubers have been able to truly experience the game at their full potential, hoping your playthrough would be one of them.

I'm so glad to see you getting to this game!! Witcher 3 is such a massive game, don't spread yourself too thin. Also the choices along the way DEFINITELY affect the ending outcome of the game, which is nice. Don't imagine you want to be told too much, because from what I've seen you like to go into things pretty blind, but I will also say that the DLC is pretty available, you just want to be a high enough level so you don't die in those quests. You can also, funnily enough, solely do the DLC apart from the main game. That's how I started. My gf played the main game and then I wanted a taste of it, so played the DLC then I was hooked and went back for the main game.

This game is more oposite to skyrim than similiar. In skyrim you create your own character that have some adventures and there is also main plot but nobody gives a fck about dragons. In witcher you are The witcher, Geralt aka white wolf. You have THE adveture to play. And your choices have short and long term consequences. DLC go that way: Heart of stone is like dawnguard from skyrim. It expand what already was in game. It give some new small locations, missions, items and mechanics. But it is self contained story. Blood and wine is like Dragonborn from skyrim. You get completly new huge location with different style and everything. Dosen of side quest + big main quest. Tons of new items and another new game system. But both of those are lvl locked. Well not really. You can get starting quest suprisingly early in main game. But first mission from those dlc are in like 36-42 lvl. Which is lvl that you have when you end main game.

One very important thing to know about Witchers. They're not heroes. They get paid to hunt monsters, they don't do it out of the kindness of their hearts. The Potion he drank in the Trailer called "A Night to Remember", before fighting the singing Bruxa (one of the higher and more powerful Vampires, which is why usually no one dares(d) to fight em as she said), was most likely the one called "Black Blood" which makes his blood somewhat poisonous for Vampires. Especially helpful against more powerful ones, like Bruxae, Alps and co and weakens them, when they drink from a that way doped up Witcher. It also was pretty much the DLC "Reveal" Trailer for "Blood and Wine" as the City in the End there, was unmistakably Beauclair, the Capital of the Duchy Toussaint with its Elven built Palace. The very same City, just in close up, you then saw in the official DLC Trailer for B&W and that one at the End yeah its a vamipire, a real "High Vampire" the most powerful ones that exist, that have even Bruxae serving them, just to give you a hint what you're up againt then late in the game.^^ That DLC alone, would be a complete new game with other publishers and is pretty much the best one ever to appear. And yeah they are out of Order. He is tasked to find the Ashen Haired Girl, which is the only Child and Daughter of that Emperor (spoken by Charles Dance jfyi the one that played Tywin Lannister in GoT) The Raven haired one, is his, for about 20 Years at that point, On and Off Lover and very powerful Sorceress Yennefer of Vengerberg, that he traced to White Orchard after the Battle that happend close by. They are both around 100 years old that point, as Witchers age much slower as humans due to their Mutations and Sorcereres's can use magic to stop their aging and be beautiful AF. The Red haired one in one of the Trailers, playin with a little fire was Triss Merigold, also a sorceress of the Aretuza and the main Lover in the first 2 games, for reason the 3rd will reveal.. ;)

More like Skyrim 1.1. 76? More like Skyrim 1.1 with multiplayer. Starfield? Skyrim 1.2. And if I had to guess, ES6 will just be Skyrim 1.3

DLC's will unlock at some point in the game, when you get to the area where you can pick up the quests which start them. You can do them during the main gameplay, though Blood and Wine is best to do after the main game is over, as story wise it kind of starts after that. Mostly will be fine, but if you have not finished the main game then some references in Blood and Wine may be said about the events that you've not done yet. As for other DLC, Hearts of Stone, that can be done at any moment, it's a story on it's own within the game world, linking smoothly into it. If anything, it'll enhance and add additional story elements to the game, so can do it as soon as you get the quest.

to understand what's going on u should play first 2 games first but to sum it up Gerald has step daughter who went missing after riders of the wild hunt came, they are inter dimensional beings, and she 6:18, well u can call her the stepmother then, she went searching for her while Gerald lost hes memory (it all basically happened in once), first 2 games go more in to that background but not as main quest, Gerald only remembers that hes a witcher, a monster hunter

Bruh it's only gonna get better!! the rich world, the coolest possible characters, and, ofc, and fucking masterpiece of a game and they are doing another one as we speak!!!

So basically the lady vampire from the trailer was a lesser vampire (I'm not sure, but I think she was a Bruxa) and the vampire and the vampire from the blood and wine trailer is a higher vampire. They are immortal (the only way to kill one is to have another higher vampire to kill it) and a LOT more powerful. They're a number 1 spot in every list of "monsters so powerful that even witchers fear them"

There are usually specific quests during the main game that unlock the DLC From then on, you can play the DLC quests and main quests in any order you like - although you'll be seriously under-levelled for the DLC if you choose to do it early The game is excellent at adapting the story if you play out of order

There are atleast 2 Trailers missing. The first would be "The VGX Trailer" And then ofc the one they created for the 10th Anniversary. Channel: The Witcher Video: Celebrating the 10th anniversary of The Witcher a 3rd that they included in the GOTY is also the one where you have developers talk about locations irl and such.

I played this game for the first time in 2017, I'd had a heart attack and was resting at home when I came across this game, "the game of the year edition." This was one of the greatest decisions I'd ever made in gaming. I've now listened to all the audio books and played all the games, but if i could go back and offer any advice before stepping in. Read the books and play the first two games only for context and your own pleasure in this world. This is definitely a game you can play straight out, but the world is 😗👌😍😍😍 The music is also beyond beautiful do enjoy.

Witcher 3 is an underrated gem, I genuinely don't think we're going to get a game like that ever again.

The Wild Hunt in real folklore is Odin leading a cavalry charge of the army of the dead. Hearing reports of someone sighting the wild hunt was considered a proof of either a war, a plague or other calamity.

I would say that the boat exploration is the opposite of limited, it was so vast that I got bored while exploring every question mark on the map. That's a really big chore lol. The true star of the show is Gwent, I even enjoyed that mini-game more than the game itself. It's still one of the best videogame stories I have come across, the characters feel really unique and complex. This is still on my Top 3 after all these years, the only game that could threaten its position is Sekiro. Because that's the only game that has grown on me over the years.

The Witcher 3 is one of those very few games that ACTUALLY lives up to the hype around it. At least in my opinion.

Weeeelll the story and the characters are a bit more complicated than you would think 😂 Thats mostly because the game is based on the 8- yes EIGHT books plus some other texts, so there is a lot of story behind all of this,

In The WItcher there are many types of vampires, but they aren't undead humans or whatever. They are closer related to Fey/Fairies, they are from another dimension and are either stuck here or came here willingly, I forget which.

Trying to set expectations: TW3 is VERY different from Elder Scrolls, in that its open world is merely a space for quests to exist in. Narrative is the biggest strength of CDPR, and it's the core quality of this game. Don't expect too much of the exploration aspect or even the combat. Strap in for great characters and thick atmosphere instead.

u may want to watch s1 of witcher series to get context about Gerald and Siri (white haired) and Yenifer (dark hair), series starts before he lost hes memory, before first witcher game

The Witcher book, just like the game, is a bit of a mythological mix from European regions, the main Slavic atmosphere is present here, even the Witchers from these productions had their counterparts from the real world, of course they were not monster killers, but something similar. I hope you enjoy this incredible Polish piece of art 😁🇵🇱

"just perfect timing" that's it that's the game. The potion he drank is called "black blood" raises his blood toxicity so it harms blood drinking monsters iirc
