This is an incredibly well done tutorial! Thank you! It was exactly what I was looking for and it was the first video I found on the subject.

Awesome video, you covered everything with a huge sense of humor without straying from the focus... I laughed the hell off when you used inflate. Now I have a question. Is it possible to select a structure (for example, the mouth structure, visible when you make the head invisible) and move it around as a whole?
@BloomnBruin9 жыл бұрын
Garrel Darkburn To do that, you can set your radius to the biggest it can get. This allows you to move around most of the smaller structures (like the mouth), but it won't work on bigger structures, like the whole head, because the brush can't get that big. Also, when you're moving big things like the mouth, you will probably want to set the strength to a lower number so you can move it more precisely. (sorry for the really late reply, I never got a notification for your comment for some reason)

Great tutorial! But I've a problem. I've a custom race, but because of another mod, it adds a head part that I want to remove or make invisible. Is that possible? I can select it in sculpmode and I can edit it. I tried making it smaller but that doesn't work. I just don't want to see that head part

Are you able to change the eye color more that what it already has via sculpt mode?
@BloomnBruin8 жыл бұрын
+Someone.exe You can't change the actual color, but you can sculpt the eye itself to change the shape of the eye and hide different parts/colors you don't want.

Thanks for a tutorial that actually tutors! You did a good job explaining/demonstrating what the tools do, at a pace that could be followed. The only thing I'm unclear on is how to save the sculpt. You showed how leaving the Sculpt window reverts all the work that was done on the character-- does that mean that you have to use R (re-naming your character and closing RaceMenu) in order to keep the changes you made in Sculpt? Then open RaceMenu again to change things like hairstyle, color, etc.?
@BloomnBruin7 жыл бұрын
You can go between "sliders" mode and "sculpt" mode, and if you made any changes to the face in one mode, those changes will still be there (like if you move the eyebrows up in sculpt mode, the eyebrows will still be up if you change to slider mode). The only thing that changes is the "history" in sculpt mode, which is a record of all the changes you made to the face during sculpting, and is only really there to allow you to undo these changes. However, they are considered "separate" from one another. If you do some sculpting on a character, then change the gender/race, those changes you did in sculpt mode will still apply to the new model. Moving the eyebrow up on the old model will also move the eyebrow up on the new model. It's kind of complicated. I don't totally remember if this is the case, but I think that saving under "presets" and saving under "sculpt" are separate things as well (ie, saving in sculpt won't have any of the slider values, and saving a preset will only have the slider values and not the sculpt). I'm going to have to go in game and check to make sure.
@theR0NIN7 жыл бұрын
Thanks, I sort of figured it out. I did end up saving my sculpt and then saving a Preset as well. We'll see if it worked! Thanks again for your reply.
@BloomnBruin7 жыл бұрын
After going in game it does seem like saving a preset does also save the sculpt, too. Saving the sculpt, changing the race, and then loading the sculpt will make the face look exactly like the sculpt, except for a different skin color.

Great, thanks! Now I just have to figure out how to set a custom NPC's hair as "playable" in the CK, and I'm good to go ;)

Hmm... I get can see the wireframe mesh, but the other windows don't appear. Does this require another mod or plugin or something?
@BloomnBruin8 жыл бұрын
Do you mean that you don't see "head parts", "history", etc? I'm not sure what could cause that. You might be missing one of the required mods (SkyUI, SKSE, and possibly more).

Ayyyyyy, can anyone help me? For some reason the head shape thing with all the lines and vectors isn't showing up. The box is there, but it's just empty. I can't find a solution anywhere. Do you have a solution?? (Great video, btw)
@BloomnBruin7 жыл бұрын
It sounds like a compatability issue of some sort. Are you using a custom race or a custom model? Do you have any other mods that modify the interface, character creation menu, or characters? Is that the only part of RaceMenu that isn't working?
@jennakins987 жыл бұрын
You responded so quickly and I love you. Well, the only things I can think of are CBBE, RANs Headmesh Variants, and Maximum Skeleton Extended. Everything else is just pretty outside stuff like skin textures, hair, and eye colors. I don't think it's the headmesh, because I had this issue before installing that.
@BloomnBruin7 жыл бұрын
Have you used something like LOOT to sort your load order? It should be able to tell you if one of your mods is having a compatibility issue or is missing master files. If that isn't working, then you might have to go through and disable mods one at a time until you find the one that is causing issues (which sucks, but is necessary sometimes).
@jennakins987 жыл бұрын
I might have to do the latter, because I tried the former to no avail. *Sigh...* Oh well. Thanks for the help, anyway! And once again, nice video. Even missing the sculpt option, it was still informative. XD

Anyone here able to tell me how to delete presets? I've looked around and can't really find an answer. =\
@BloomnBruin7 жыл бұрын
you might have to go into the actual file location where the presets are being saved and delete them there. i think there's a way to delete them in-game but i don't remember
