Not sure if I posted this already, but I'll still say it. This works on ALL platforms. I just didn't include Xbox 360/One because I did this on PS3 and PS4 originally. I also didn't include PC, since you can just use console commands.

@@DeadButBleedin I'm not sure. With all of my testing, I could never find a way to get the marriage option to show up after she's already talked to you about being her housecarl. You could always try dismissing her, wait for her to be back at your house in Whiterun, and then talk to her to see if the marriage option shows up. If that doesn't work, then I don't know what will, except for using the Marriage All mod.

When I first met Lydia I triple-teamed with me, her, and Golldir and did that necromancer thing at level 5 (shit was ROUGH) but I managed, and then she travelled with me all the way to level 35 when I FINALLY went to the greybeards, and now I'ma marry her cause shes been with me the majority of the game

If she's still your follower, and you told her to wait somewhere, you could try recruiting another follower. That would reset her. If she isn't your follower, she could just be hiding. She might also be stuck somewhere, or in a place where you explored, and she fell behind. Anyway, I hope you find her.

Yep, the Whiterun house is basically essential. I'm sure any other house you own that has space works, too. But for the easiest method, the Whiterun house is their best bet.

I just adopted Lucia in Whiterun, I have the Manic Elytra Nymph for a pet, and the Lakeview Manor in Falkreath is my home A beautiful wife is all I’m missing, and Lydia is by far the most loyal person I know in Skyrim, not only that, but she is beautiful, and I can’t see life in Skyrim without her, it’s the only reason I go through with becoming Thane of Whiterun (WHICH IS OPTIONAL BY THE WAY)

I have the Lakeview Manor mostly built (Has bedrooms.), have the amulet, and talked to the priest guy but the "Interested in me." Option isn't appearing on Lydia. Is it because I'm a Khajit, or is it something to do with the house?

I don't think race matters. As for the Hearthfire homes, I cannot say. I would think they'd work the same as the city houses. A lot of people have issues with the marriage option not popping up. I always ask them if they did everything properly. When I do the method, I always get the Amulet of Mara first, and talk to the priest about marriage, then I continue with the main quests until I get the option to buy the house in Whiterun. Save up some money to buy it, and upgrade it completely, then continue until I get Lydia assigned to me, then I put the amulet on before I talk to her. As long as she has a room to stay in, be it a spare, or a double bed that the player sleeps in, it should work. I've also read that some don't bother getting the spare room, but that's false information, I think. Having the spare room makes sense, since Lydia is the housecarl, and that is where she'd originally sleep if she isn't married to the player. Marriage or no, she'd need the spare room. For the Hearthfire homes, I'd think just the main bedroom is enough. I wish I had tested that out. Sorry if none of this helps you. I didn't do enough testing. Best you can do is either reload before you talked to her, or try it on another save.

From all my testing back then, I never got the prompt to show up if she was already my follower. No matter what I tried, it wouldn't give me the marriage dialogue. It ONLY worked if I've never met Lydia in the first place.

So easy! Every quest and raid I do I fill up my weight with different armies and expensive items, usually no less than 10 gold per one weight, Lydia helps hold stuff do, after your quest go to the traders and smiths and sell it all

Did you buy the house from Proventus (or however his name is spelled)? She will, of course, need a place to stay. I tested without owning a house with room for her, and the marriage option didn't show up. I just say buy the house in Whiterun, since it's the cheapest.

It's important to talk about marriage with the priest in Riften, otherwise the dialogue option never appears. Don't worry about having it equipped during your first encounter with Lydia. I found out during a livestream that it doesn't affect her saying it. The other thing that might be wrong, is you don't have a house with room for her. If these don't help you, please update me.

You have to make sure you did everything correctly. Make sure the amulet is on before your first interaction with her. I do know that when I have her as my housecarl on XB1, and I have the amulet on when she isn't following me, the marriage option pops up. Maybe it's just being stubborn for you. I hope you can get it sorted out.

Nope! Normally, people only mention marrying Lydia on PC, and I would watch it, thinking they found a method, but it's just them using console commands. Hundreds of thousands of views for something so simple. THIS is the console way, and if I may say, the proper way to marry her.

Followers getting lost always annoyed me. I imagine she'd just pop back in at your side, at any given time. Waiting a few hours, entering/exiting interior cells. Those are ways to reset a follower. One thing I liked about Fallout 4's Vault-Tec DLC is that the terminal that is in the build menu has a companion tracker (if I remember correctly). Skyrim coulda used that feature!

As far as I know, you MUST have a house with room for her to move into BEFORE you get her as a housecarl. Don't worry about wearing the amulet when she initiates her "The Jarl has appointed me" dialogue. I found out while livestreaming that just talking to the priest about marriage is enough. Equip the amulet any time to bring up the marriage option. I hope this helps in any way. Sorry if I didn't help.

As far as I know, the dialogue option only showed up for me when I talked to her after doing all the required steps for marriage. It could be different for others, but that's what happened to me.

You don't have to furnish you house in Whiterun, just buing it is enough. Saves you some coin if you don't want to live there.

By the way I didn't mention that at the time I had the choice to merry her I had almost finished the lakeview manor. So the game might just require to buy the house in Whiterun (without having it I didn't get the choise to merry her) and have a house (doesn't matter wich house or at least I think that) that has at least some furniture. Don't know witch furniture are required though.

@@kiro1599 Oh, I reply to most of the comments I get, provided they warrant a reply. These KZbinrs that say they "read all the comments" almost never reply, whereas I do. But anyway... I cannot remember, but I think I said in the video that the house in Whiterun is the cheapest option (assuming people play the original version without Hearthfire, for some strange reason, or wanna marry Lydia at the earliest level possible). As for furnishing, I have no clue. I know the spouse always likes to mention room for them to stay in, so I'd assume a double bed.

The very first time you enter The Bee and Barb, Maramal is always in there, unless the game bugs out. You can normally find him at the temple, afterwards.

She will live in any house you build, and as for the money, she will open up her own store in the house. The amount of money she gives you from the store's earnings depends on how many in-game hours have passed.

Yes, yes t is. My first true video game love was Jill Valentine from RE1 Remake. Julia Voth is a goddess! I still love her, but now my favorite has to go to Aerith, from the FF7 Remake. Besides, I use her name for all my female characters in any game I can name my girl in.

It was too sad though I couldn't live without her, so in the name of love I went back like 5 saves just to get her back. Now we are happily married and live in hendraheim

@@Orly-pl4un As long as you own a house with room for your spouse, you're good to go. It's actually better to own a home before you propose marriage. Just like in real life. lol Also, the number of Mara's Amulets doesn't matter.

You mean for Skyrim, or just in general? For Skyrim, I only play it on XB1 nowadays. The mods are way better than PS4's. Also, I'd make videos of my Skyrim on XB1, but since I don't have a capture card, and the recording of games through the XB1 limits each one to a minute, it's too much of a hassle. As for videos in general, I have no ideas.
