You know the Companions? At Jorrvaskar? Hear they're looking for recruits. I'd be a lot warmer and a lot happier with a belly full of mead. My cousin's out fighting dragons, and what do I get? Guard duty. I used to be an adventurer like you. 'Til I took an arrow in the knee... Do you get to the Cloud District very often? Oh, what am I saying, of course you don't. ...And as man, you said 'Let me show you the power of Talos Stormcrown, born of the North, where my breath is long winter'... Have you seen my husband, Nazeem? Check the Jarl's backside, that's usually where he stuffs himself these days. Trouble? Let me guess, someone stole your sweetroll...

I sometimes think that Skyrim is partially popular because some corners and areas remind us and give us the feeling of going hiking or taking a walk through our native forests. The sound design in this game works so well, it's realistic and soft. No obnoxious ambient sounds, perfect spacialisation of sounds, noises, and echoes. I'm not saying it's better than a more fantastic, unrealistic approach of sound design; In the end, the most important thing is artistic coherence, no matter how unnatural, and skyrim absolutely got it right.

Until an INCREDIBLY LOUD BEAR COMES OUTTA NOWHERE AND BURSTS MY EYEDRUMS WHY ARE YOU LOUDER THEN DRAGONS?? I would also recommend finding a mod that increases the amount of trees that spawn it ramps this up even more and makes forests actually feel like forests

This game showed me the deep meaning of exploring, and the beauty of loneliness when I was still too young to go out and see the world with my own eyes. I explored all over skyrims map. Since then, I’ve explored solo all over every major mountain range in the western US… I pour over the maps of these landscapes the way I poured over skyrims map when I was a kid. I walk alone for days, weeks, just to see what’s over the next ridge, just to know the land. Just like I did in Skyrim as a kid. This game has influenced me so deeply.
