This was THE MOD when it first appeared. IIRC, it came out before the Creation Kit. Players could not believe how big and professional it was, but it slowly got the rep of being big, empty, and boring, so, I have never tried it. If it's mostly one big dungeon crawl, I could see giving it a once-over.

The main quest line is primarily a big dungeoncrawl yes, but as I mentioned, there is plenty of side dungeons and points of interest around the island, and several side quests. I didn't get the sense that it was particularly big and empty. Perhaps it has improved on that front over the years. I always thought that was Falskaar's reputation. But I admit I wasn't very tuned in to the modding scene back then.

I believe you’re correct. From what I’ve read, it’s Falskaar that has the big, empty and possibly boring world. Apparently Wyrmstooth has been receiving consistent updates over the years and I see a lot of praise for it. Watching your vid now btw 👍

@@CompleteProducer84 yeah Wyrmstooth still holds up today while Falskaar aged poorly. The world is quite empty and flat, the story and characters aren't very good, and the voice acting has a lot of room for improvement. Personally I wouldn't recommend Falskaar today. But Wyrmstooth? It isn't perfect sure, but absolutely yes I recommend it.

@@JustMe_Inq Awesome thanks for the clarification. I ended up installing Wyrmstooth a few days ago but haven’t started yet

I went back and replayed this the other day for the first time since it came out. It's pretty dated, but impressive for what it was at the time. There's another interesting layer to it if you play with requiem + patches, Vulom is nearly impossible if you aren't min-maxxed. It's a bit annoying to get around if you don't use fast travel too, but I had Arvak at the time so it wasn't terrible. I had to ban myself from using that bone club lol, it's way too OP, especially since I could disenchant it and slap the enchant on something nonsensical like a dagger.

Vulom was interesting because he teleports around when you hit him, but that wasn't the case when followers hit him. I had the four mercenaries with me for that fight, and they beat him up pretty bad just on their own. But I can imagine that it wouldn't work out in Requiem.
