@martijnkwant53144 жыл бұрын
@@yawakoben They are as much of a protection for your own hands as it is supposed to protect the person your hitting.. Bare knuckle fighting is incredibly gory if pushed to the limit.. So those boxing gloves help to dissipate the energy over a larger spot then a normal fist normally would making it less damaging to the body of the person getting hit.. And most (kick)boxing matches would end in a bloodbath with broken jaws, noses and in worst cases death if it wasn't for the gloves.. So theoratically it should give you a stamina improvement as your able to swing more before your own hands start to hurt.. But that improvements comes at the cost of reducing the impact of each blow.

Orcish naming conventions actually replicate Icelandic naming conventions, with sons taking on their father's first name as their surname and daughters taking on their mother's.
@Karinara5 жыл бұрын
I was going to say this. Also I think that this naming system has existed in the other Nordic countries too, even though it's not used anymore (you know, like Jansson, Ericsson and so on, Swedish surnames that used to come from a naming system like that). And at least in Finland I've heard some few people use names like: Timontytär (Timo's daughter) or Timonpoika (Timo's son) as middle names. (I used Timo as the "father's" name just because it's pretty common name, also mother's name is not used in the old Finnish system) (with very little research I did this seems to have been "common" in 1990-2010s) also that naming system used to be a thing like hundreds of years ago in Finland too. Don't know much about Norwegian or Danish naming systems but I assume they used to be the same.
@KiwiLombax155 жыл бұрын
@@Karinara I think it also has something to do with where they come from. In Karthwastan theres an orc miner called Lash Gra-Dushnikh who came from the stronghold Dushnikh-Yal. I took a quote from the UESP "The prefix is usually followed by the father's name if male, or mother's name if female; but the child may also receive the name of the parent of the opposite sex. Other Orcs take their family name from the name of their clan or the Orc stronghold where they were born." It looks like its kind of a pick and mix approach
@lauritsemilfrkjr-jensen87055 жыл бұрын
Karinara In Denmark we also had that A long time ago. It’s pretty Common to hear Jensen or Hansen witch means “hans son” or “Jens son”. Almost everybody has A name like that in Denmark, but i dont think we have anything like that about daughters though.

@@lauritsemilfrkjr-jensen8705 I had heard the naming convention was Nordic.

Actually, not quite right. Most of us are indeed named patronimic regardless of gender, such as myself and my sisters being Stefánsdóttir and my brothers being Stefánsson. Matronimic naming is known but hasn't been quite common until in recent years, and some couples name their children after both, like Jónsson Guðrúnsson if a boy or maybe Hildardóttir Finnsdóttir if a girl. In short, no - most often sons are not named after fathers and daughters after mothers. UNLESS they happen to be single parents and the other parent simply isn't in the picture . . .

Nhic / ní = granddaughter / descendant of ... Take my name for example Mac MAGHNÁIS son of magnus/Manus up until the 1800s most Irish people took the name of their parents mostly in the countryside they still do in the gaeltacht areas ( Irish speaking areas ) if your name was Keith ( irish: ceitheact ) and your grand father was a man called Domhnail ( prounounced doe - Nel)( the English version of Domhnail is donell or Donald ) your name would be *Ceitheact Ua Domhnail Mac Seán* = Keith descendant of Domhnail son of seán

So I don't know if it was always there or if this counts as a 'tiny detail" but in the creation club with the newly added Shadow Sanctum or whatever its called; the riften thieves guild player home, if you enter via the ratway and when you come into the area where the forge is there is a large pool. If you dive in it there is drain which releases you on the outside of the city. Its a bit weird because you have go into a pool of water but the hatch or drain is high above the actual body it lets out into. Either way, if you look to the right of the drain there is another drain and if you get close enough it allows you to enter it revealing a tunnel that ultimately leads to a grate that you can open to retrieve the prisoner's belongings from a chest within the Riften Jail. I bring this up because I would think it's been there all along but I have never come across it before in all my years of playing Skyrim nor have I seen it highlighted in any videos which makes me wonder if it wasn't added with the creation club.

"Enorm" is the equivalent of "enormous" However, due to the 4 cases we have in German, we could conjugate the adjective by adding -es So we would say Ein enormes Spiel An enormous game

Boxing gloves actually allow a fighter to use more force in their strikes without damaging their hand. Love your content!

3:23 boxing gloves aren't made to make punches less powerful, the power stays the same, it's to avoid cuts from knuckles and to avoid hand injuries and thumbing to the eyes.

Hey Nate got some info for ya, you remember that guy who supposedly died "rockjoint" in his cabin leaving behind Meeko? Well it looks like we've all been wrong about it, if you look behind his shack there's like 3 nightshade plants and referring to "The herbalist guide to Skyrim" it actually mentions that nightshade is super deadly (obviously) but it also says it locks up joints as well and any smart nord stays away from it but the guy that died from them seems to be a Breton and their very weak to poisons.

Boxing gloves are actually designed to protect the boxers hands so they can punch harder without fear of their hands breaking. Fun fact!
